It's in the walk in pantry.

We have an L-shaped countertop and it is at the end of the line side. We have one of those foot-pedal stainless steel trash cans, I'm a big fan. Keeps smell way down (which has been an issue in the past because we don't compost and we don't create a LOT of trash, so it can be a few days between taking the trash out).

I hate them under the sink. We have a nice stainless steel one and it is next to the tall pantry cabinet

Ours is tucked into a corner, but if we had the cabinet/under-the-sink space I'd put it there. It doesn't skeeve me out. It's not like it's IN the sink or anything.

We have a Simplehuman trash can, it's next to the island by my sink.

In our old condo we installed one of those pull-out things in the cabinet that had trash and recycling containers. In our home now we have a trash can (with a lid that closes of course!) at the end of the island. It took us a while to realize that it should be at the end closest to the sink and food prep area, duh.

If I had room in the kitchen it would go at the end of the L, but our kitchen is small so it's under the sink I hate it there but I have no choice.

Pull out under the sink- I hate seeing trash cans and the dog likes to investigate.

Under the sink, always! We installed the slide out trash/recycling cans. And since our city composts, not too much gross stuff goes in there. Honestly, I think seeing trash cans in kitchens is a bit gross. To each her own I guess

We are moving to our new house next month and I am having one of the kitchen cabinets reconfigured as a pull out trash bin drawer. Love not having garbage out for the toddlers to play with.

Because it takes several days to fill up the 13 gallon bag, and to deal with smell and prevent flies, I keep a small ceramic jar with lid on my island, and put one of those veggie produce bags in it. Once that produce bag is full with kitchen garbage (maybe every day or so), i tie it up and toss it into the big garbage bin. No flies, no smell! Took several hints to train my husband to use the ceramic jar for trash.

We have a double pullout trash built in to our cabinets.

We have a pull out drawer that was built especially for the trash can! I love it!

Ours is in a cabinet. We make very little garbage though with all our recycling programs, so we just have a 10L can with a lid in there, and take it out every couple days.

It's in a built-in drawer (not under the sink). It came with the house like that - 1 for trash, 1 for recycle. I love it, especially now that LO is crawling and pulling up!

Under the sink. I have a tiny little can, it forces me to throw the garbage out more frequently.
