I tried donating some of the toys my LO outgrew/didn't use to our local Goodwill, and they told me they don't accept children's toys. I looked into Children's Hospitals, but they only take new toys. I can't be bothered to try to sell every little thing, and I feel awful throwing all this stuff away. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to donate used toys? I just want it out of my house!

That's odd, our Goodwill accepts toys. Do you have any other resale stores you could donate to - Salvation Army, Savers? Some charities will also come to your house to pick up stuff. We get ads in the mail from them, but it probably depends on where you are located.

Our Goodwill doesn't take toys either
We use Vietnam Veterans of America - they come right to the house and pick everything up!!

Call your local daycare or put them on a parent board they will be snapped up quickly

Salvation Army! Go to their website and schedule a pickup - so easy!

I just dropped off some used toys and clothes at YWCA.

I take my son's toys to daycare and tell them to keep what they want, and to give away and/or toss the rest.
Other times I have dropped them off at a Salvation Army location.

A woman's shelter might take them. You could also google delivery pick up charities if you live in a city.

@locavore_mama: I've tried local daycares, no one wants them. @musicav suggested Savers, I hadn't thought to try there so I'll give them a shot this weekend.

@autumnlove: Andy is going off to college and his mom accidentally donates all this toys to the daycare that him and his younger sister used to go to growing up.
