Hello! My husband and I found out a few weeks ago and have narrowed it down to two names, Everett or Oliver. I lean strongly towards one and my husband the other. Help break the tie!

I like them both very much!! I think I like Oliver slightly more, but I also know several Oliver's so for that reason I lean towards Everett. But it's so close!

They're both so good,but if I had to pick one now I'd go with Everett. I think ever is a cool nn, Ollie is cute too.

I voted Oliver, because while both names are exploding in popularity, Everett sounds more trendy to me.

@MoonMoon: that's funny because I was going to say the opposite! I think Oliver is more trendy right now.
I personally prefer Everett. For Oliver I think of the movie Oliver and Company with the animals. It seems too much like a pet name, I guess. Sounds like it's all down to what you two like more!

We couldn't use Oliver because of the -ER ending but I do like it. Everett was on our list.

I actually like Everett for a girl - but I love a masculine name for a girl! Both of mine have "boy" names...

Love both of these names, they are both on our list! I think Everett is slightly in the lead for me right now.

Everett was my first choice for a boy but hubs vetoed it, so that gets my vote.

@rachiecakes: oh really? I feel like people wouldn't use the name Everett because of the town so close to us. It would be weird to me to use a local town am I never considered it, even though I like the name.

All the littles Everetts I know are NY/PA/WV -
Our top two boy names were Emmett and Oliver
we went with Emmett.
