We're going to be flying w/ DD for the first time at Christmas, and we're trying to figure out which stroller to travel with. (She will be almost 9 months old.)
The options are:
(1) Our Snap N Go -- we'll be bringing DD's infant carseat, which she just barely still fits in, so the Snap N Go is an option. It's a great lightweight stroller, but I haven't used it in ages since it requires DD to sit in her carseat, and I feel like she is pretty squished in there.
(2) Our Joovy Zoom jogging stroller -- The Joovy Zoom is our normal around town stroller. It's big and bulky though, and I'm worried about it getting damaged on a plane.
(3) A umbrella stroller (TBD) -- We don't own an umbrella stroller yet, but I think this might be the time to buy one. If anyone has a good suggestion for a relatively cheap umbrella stroller, I would love to hear it!

If she still fits in her infant carseat and you'll be using it on the trip, I vote for the Snap N Go.

I would recommend the snap and go, that way you have her car seat for driving around your destination. We are using our stroller that makes our LO sit in his car seat as well, so that we have his car seat with us. Unless, you really intend to use your stroller a lot wherever you are going, then you might want the comfy stroller

Is she sitting in the car seat on the plane or will it be checked? If you aren't using the seat for the flight (and don't have to drag it through the airport) I wouldn't use the Snap n Go. If she hates sitting in the car seat, it's going to be pretty frustrating as a stroller.
How much will you use the stroller at your destination? If you will use it a lot and you know she rides well in it, then I'd bring your normal stroller. If you want an umbrella, you might just go to a baby store and see what she's comfortable riding in.
As far as strollers getting damaged, I've had my stroller (Peg Perego Si) damaged when gate checked. The detachable front bar snapped in two. Now I just remove the bar and it's not a problem. The airline did pay for a replacement though.

@MamaBehr: I agree it depends on how much you'll use your stroller while you're away. If you're mostly going place to place by car, snap n go should be fine.
Many airlines have started to put in place weight limits on strollers you can gate check. For that reason I would say the jogging stroller isn't your best option.
We got the uppababy gluxe at 5mo and we are super happy with it. We've taken it to Asia twice. We were even able to set our combi coccoro on top w the seat fully reclined, and push our DD around the airport (would not recommend this for city sidewalks). At home we use it more than our UB vista.

We took the snap n go and I'm so glad we did! It got damaged in the cargo hold and I would have kicked myself if they damaged our good stroller!

9 months is pretty old to be in a snap and go. we had transitioned to a regular stroller and i think both charlie and olive would have been really unhappy laying down that low at that age. but i know some people have used the snap n go til their lo was much older, so it depends on your baby.

If you won't need to use the carseat when you get to your destination, I vote for an umbrella stroller. We're actually buying the one @Mrs. Bee: recommended or the little bit nicer version as our travel stroller.

We're also getting the Ignite. It's supposed to be a little bigger with better wheels, important for us since we plan to take her to parks. I've tracked the price for it since summer and it hasn't gone down at all. The Jet was as low as $34.
