We have a very traditional colonial home built in the 60s and we're remodeling the kitchen. I was dead set on white, full overlay, raised panel cabinets with 5 piece drawer fronts. I have always loved the fresh, clean look of a white kitchen. But many people have said that cream cabinets hide dirt a little better and look richer-- a stark white cabinet can look cheap or bathroom-y. Also, our kitchen gets a crazy amount of natural light, so stark white might be way too blinding.

Now I'm debating between white vs. cream (the traditional door/drawer front style remains the same). I'm pretty set on a semi-solid, dark gray or black granite counter, black hardware, and oak hardwood floors to match the rest of the house.

Everything inside the house is painted white (walls, trim, window and door frames) so I was positive that cream would just not look right. But the house itself on the exterior is cream with white shutters and trim..!

What would you do?
