Usually DH does the exterior lights, with a lil help from me for a couple of big trees, and I do our big Christmas tree and banister indoors.
This year, I did about 75% of all the decorating!!!!!!! (DH got struck with a ripe cherry off our big tree in his eye and was down for the count, so I just finished it all!)

DH usually puts the tree up while I am at work every year. He slows down at work and has random days off. It's a nice surprise for me and something that I don't have to worry about. This year, the only thing I did is hang the stockings and put some garland over the mirror in the living room.
I think once we have a house and do REAL decorating, I will handle most of it.

We do the tree together, but DH does most of the "planning" of the tree. He's an engineer and likes it to be super symmetrical. It's funny! I usually do the rest of the little bit we do around the house and he does anything outside.

We don't really decorate outside. We put the trees up and get them decorated together and I do all the random decor around the house.

I do it all! Seriously, he could care less and I'm obsessive so it is best to let him enjoy his time off and let me do the geeking out. Not that he doesn't care at all, but it would be hard for me to communicate the absolute NECESSITY of having lights up the weekend after tgiving, and that all the ornaments must go on in a specific order.....lol! Yesterday I was putting lights on the tree and he helped a little and it was the perfect amount for both of us.

DH did the outside and setting up the tree and lights on the tree. We do the ornaments together. Then I do everything else.

I do 99% of the decorating. He helps get everything out of storage and holds the ladder for me.

@mediagirl: hehe, we were putting up lights on the big cherry (or crab apple?) tree up front and as he was swinging lights up high, a cherry fell off the tree and hit him right in his eye! goo everywhere and it burned/stung for a while after rinsing too :T

I do it all myself, my husband doesn't care about decorations lol. If it were up to him we would have the same things up year-round.

We haven't started decorating for this year yet, but DH always does the outside lights and I do the interior, including the tree. I'd like for the tree to be a "family" thing so I'm making him help me with it this year!

We don't usually decorate outside, and I do everything inside, although Hubs helps bring up the decorations from the basement and he helps get and set up the tree.

I normally do most of both interior and exterior because I'm super festive and he's just eh about it. Hubby doesn't like me on the roof too much so I'll direct how to hang things and he'll do the actual labor.

I do the inside and DH does the outside. If it was up to him we wouldn't have lights on the house, but I love it!
