@Ash: still coming down strong. Our winter storm warning goes until 7 pm tomorrow. Just let the dog out and it looks like we have 6 inches of hard packed snow on the deck. Hubby just got home and headed out again to plow. Apparently our road is drifted shut with more than a foot, and my SIL lives on our road and drives a Toyota Corolla, so no way she's making it out tomorrow without some plowing. Our lights just flickered so I shut my computer down and am now checking this on my phone. I'm quite bored now though! Our satellite dish is too caked with snow to get a signal. Guess I should read...

@JamieLee: Oh man til 7pm, yuck! I can even see the snow blowing in the pic. I wish I could get a pic but the dog won't even go outside in it so there's no way I am! Hahaha! Your SIL should take the day to relax... there will be a lot of crazy people on the roads who shouldn't be. It's safer at home from what I've seen on the news here. There are a lot of people without power here too--hope yours stays on! I hope you guys all stay safe. I'd be in bed if I didn't have tv (the one time I've been thankful we are tightwads and don't have cable is right now) or my computer. lol! Stay warm!

@JamieLee: people around where I live run out for bread and milk if they predict flurries. It is insane.

I wish we were getting snow! It's 64 degrees here and raining super hard. I've never seen a good snow so I'm living vicariously through you all

We have a ton! Toddler Girl is in heaven, she just loves it. It's funny how having little kids can get you excited about things that make everyone else cranky.
It might rain yet this week though, which would suck. I hate slush.

The snow is over here in Iowa now, and now it's just freezing cold and windy. Blah.

@Ash: Iowa gets 15"? Wow, that's a lot!
@MrsTiz: meh...trust me: I'd rather have your weather:)
We have none so far but by jan/feb we will get a few days where we could have like....4"-6". Not looking forward to driving around with a young infant in that kind of weather.

We ended up with something in the neighborhood of 15 inches at my house in Wisconsin! It is really pretty, but that is a heck of a lot of snow!

@Ash: Where in Iowa are you? We're in the middle -- about an hour east of Des Moines.

Well, we are now with about half power. Nothing works except the lights: no water, fridge, microwave, stove, TV, computer. On the bright side, the lights work and we have a wood stove to keep us warm. Hoping this will be fixed quicker than last time. Here's our latest picture:
