I actually kind of think that my husband and I will share these duties and take turns being the pushover/strict one. I'm pretty strict when it comes to certain things and I have high standards for my kids, but my husband is actually pretty good at discipline. His sister's child tends to be a menace at times, and my husband is really good about taking control of the situation, so I think he'll be even better with our own children!

I'm pretty sure my husband will be the pushover and I'll be the strict one. It's just not in his nature to be uptight about stuff, and it's certainly within my character (Just call us Phil and Claire Dunphy!)

@pelikila : I'm with you based off of our dog. When he yells at her, she totally looks at me to stand up for her and I think she knows she gets away with more with me. It may flip flop with actual kids though. I think he'll turn into a pile of mush when she gives him the "look".

He'll be the pushover and I'll be the strict one, based on how we treat our pets!

I know I'll be the disciplinarian and my husband will be the pushover. He uses all his strictness at work with his staff, so by the time he comes home, he has nothing but nice left.
