It's not easy to pick a gift for either of my parents! Borderline impossible... other than sending money.
Who is the hardest family member to buy a gift for?

My dad. He's retired, and he has plenty of his own money so when he wants something, he just goes out and buys it so there's nothing left to gift him.

IL's! They have everything and can afford to buy whatever they want. They have an extra room in their house with shelves of gifts they have received over the years. Never used but don't just give to Goodwill.

My dad, he hates when we spend money on him. I usually buy him his fishing & hunting license for Birthday/Father's Day & good meat for Christmas. Predictable but still I know he likes/enjoys.

My mum! She's diabetic, doesn't drink any more, ia allergic to perfumed bath products, is allergic to jewelry unless it's high quality gold, doesn't watch DVDs, only reads books on her Kindle..... she's really, really difficult!

My dad. And his birthday is right after Father's Day, so it's always hard to come up with two good ideas in rapidfire succession!

Both my parents actually. I would normally say my dad, because I know what my mom likes, but then she gets mad if we buy full price things or expensive things!

@MamaMoose: I was going to write the exact same thing! My dad just purchases whatever he wants. For him, a good gift has to have some kind of sentimental value.
