Me! DH says he can't say no to her all the time!

Probably me. Dh and I both suck in the strict dept though. haha

I think it will be a toss-up. I've seen my DH get SERIOUS with his nieces and nephews, but I'm less likely to put up with any crap...I think we will balance each other nicely! (We'll see when we actually have a LO though!!)

we have different areas of expertise. I can already see it in the way we both handle our friends/family:
DH is strict with school, reading, grades, religion studies, responsibility like getting a job or doing chores.
I am more lax on those things and super strict on: manners, dressing presentably, being well behaved, being nice to other kids and adults, sharing...

dh says i'll be the strict one with "daughter(s)" and he'll be the strict one with "son"
i have a feeling i'll be the more strict one overall!

i don't know! i go back and forth, but i think i will be more strict just because of my personality type and DH's. i am way more type a and he's more laid back for sure.

Me for sure.
DH laughs when kids are naughty (*sighs*)

I'm going to be the bad cop for sure. DH is the fun one... :S

Me. My husband informed me the other day "FYI if the baby is a girl you are going to have to handle 100% of the discipline". Awesome... Thanks hun : )

@Andrea: he totally is. And what makes it even funnier is that he's 6'6" and 250lbs of muscle but on the inside he's a big mush mellow.

OMG I'm going to have a really hard time being tough. My heart is too soft. DH made me discipline the dog when he marked a spot in the baby's nursery...I rubbed his nose in it and spanked him once. He cowered under the crib for like 2 hours and wouldn't come out, and I cried and then promised I would never spank him again. DH was not impressed.

@MamaMoose: hehe. sounds like my DH, except for the muscle part. LOL LOL!!!

I think we're pretty equal. Before she was born I would have said him, but I'm the one home with her all day so I have to be.

Probably DH, especially since LO is a boy. I'm such a pushover...must work on that...if LO had ended up being a girl I'd almost definitely end up being the strict one though.

I'm the stricter parent for sure. DH tends to laugh or just not think something's a big deal when he should. Blahhhh...men!

Until we got a dog I thought he would be stricter but now I am certain it will be me. He lets stuff slide because it is cute or he doesn't want to interrupt playtime...

I have a feeling it'll be me. As it is, Hubs already says he can't stay mad at the freakin cat when she misbehaves because she just looks at him with this pathetic look on her face and he caves. Ha ha.

I think I'll be bad cop. He can't even discipline the dog!
pomelo / 5331 posts
Definitely me. I know this from hypothetical situations we've set up. Like others have said, DH can't even discipline our dog. It's pathetic lol
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
I think I'll be the strict one since the hubby is more laid back and chill. Plus, I helped raise my two youngest cousins and I was definitely strict on them. They were more afraid of me than their mom! Not necessarily afraid, but they listened to me better.
