We split up the kids: I put Charlie down at night, and Bee puts Olive down!
For naps on weekends, we reverse it: I put Olive down and Bee puts Charlie down.
Who puts the kids down to sleep at night? What about naps and on weekends?

We swap putting G to sleep. I put P to sleep for naps & bed almost 100% of the time.

I put LO down every night because I nurse him right before bed. As for naps, I put him down probably 90% of the time, but DH does sometimes. To tell you the truth, LO pretty much just puts himself to sleep most of the time. We're very lucky.

We take turns at night but for naps it's pretty much always me.

DH puts him down for his first nap maybe 3 mornings during the week, and about half the time on weekends. During the week I always put him to bed (except the occasional Friday, if DH gets home in time), and usually on weekends too, although I try to encourage DH to do it.

We mix it up. DH usually does it because he doesn't have much time with M during the day. Tonight I put her down because I had planned dinner on the grill and DH is the grill master.

i do 100% of the time. dh works 3-4 nights a week so obvi can't do it then. but even on his nights off i do it, honestly i would feel like something was off if i didn't do it. it's just mine and lo's thing.

DH puts DD to bed...bless him for that because I'm spent by the time her bedtime rolls around. I deal with most naps, but those are pretty easy (*knocks on wood*) because I nurse her to sleep.

Every other night I do M's bedtime and I do Lala's every night (because Mr. Jacks doesn't stay up as late as Lala!)

I put both kids down mostly. We split it up more on the weekends.

I pretty much always do it because I nurse her to sleep. DH is very helpful though, he always does diaper changes and swaddling. And if she's being fussy and not going down he rocks and bounces her. So I can't really say I do 100% of the work!!

DH does baths when he's at home and I put the kids down for the night.

We rotate. If I'm busy, he'll do it. If he's busy (or not home yet) then, I'll do it.
Naps, I do while dh is at work, but again, during weekends, that rotates based on who is busy or not.
When we have 2, dh will take over th eldest, because I will most likely be nursing.

Naps, I do. Bed its a joint effort; unless its after 11, then it's all me. After 11 happens way too frequently, I'm sad to say.

DH does. He gets home right before DD's bedtime, so he does most of bedtime with her. She *loves* her daddy time.

DH usually does the bath, but then we both play and read books with him before he goes to bed.

We literally split it down the middle since I'm EP now. Lo still has at least one night wake up so whoever doesn't put him down does the night wake up and then the next night we switch ! I looooove this system !

Bedtime we share - my husband reads to her and diapers her, then lays down with us (floorbed) while I nurse her to sleep. He might read facebook on his phone or just nap. We started this when she moved to her own room at 8 months - he'd come down too when I nursed her. It helped me to feel less resentful about how much nursing her messed up my sleep and not his. It's a lovely ritual, I'll miss it when we have two children and we have to split us.

We alternate nights for both kids.
I do 99% of naps though. DH can on the weekends, but I usually do bc it's fast and they're used to me.

We split it too... I put Jaren down while DH puts Noelle down.

We split naps on weekends & share bedtimes. DH does story time, diapers and swaddle, I bathe and nurse/rock to sleep.
honeydew / 7917 posts
We do bedtime together, but I let DH take most of the responsibility. He is in charge of brushing teeth, bath, and clothing LO. I assist and read books before bed.
When LO2 comes, DH will be in charge of our 2 year old for bed and I will take care of the baby.

I do all the naps and bedtime. I think in the 9 months that we've had lo dh has put her down for a nap maybe twice? Most of the time up until now I've breastfed right before her sleep so its just easier for me to do it. When we're done breastfeeding dh will definitely have to step up and help!

I do. when number 2 comes along we'll have to work something else out. currently daddy means play time and he absolutely will. not. sleep. for him.
pomelo / 5621 posts
We both will get him ready for bed, but I mostly put him to sleep as most of the time he nurses to sleep.
grapefruit / 4066 posts
always me, for the most part. i nurse to sleep for naps when we are both home so its just easier. at night, he does the bath and then i nurse and read a book, so i just always put her to sleep.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
Always me, but DH is usually in the kitchen cleaning up from dinner and he comes in to read most nights
honeydew / 7811 posts
@mrbee: I do almost all of it. DH works in retail so he works weekends and late evenings.
