I don't think there can be possibly be any more damage done to either nominee at this point. Who do you think will win?

Trump will win IMO.
The Comey letter and now unresolved email inquiry was Hillary's nail. I would LOVE to be wrong though.

I think trump will win my state (Ohio) but HRC will win overall. Ohio has some crazy stat that it's voted for the winner for a record number of years so that gives me pause on my guesses!

I think it will be Trump too. Every story I hear on NPR this week suggests he has so many supporters and I am seeing it on local and national tv too.
I really wish I could get a job in another country.

I'm fairly certain HRC will win. She's definitely winning my state.

I have no idea. I know an equal amount of Trump and Hillary supporters, and it seems both groups are convinced that are winning. This election is making me nervous! It seems like it will be close.

Apparently some guy had a point factor system that correctly guessed the last 30 years of presidency. He says Trump.
I think it will be Trump.

I am so stressed out about this election. I hope Hillary wins, but wouldn't be surprised if Trump pulled in almost as many popular votes. Still think Hillary will win more electoral votes.

I hope HRC will win but am terrified she wont. No matter what happens I think our country will forever be changed by this election.

I just can't fathom that I live in a country where Trump could win after all this. I think Hillary will win. But I live in MA where it's very blue. But seriously.... he can't win.
persimmon / 1339 posts
Fivethirtyeight still has Hilary at 66.9% probability of winning so I'm counting on that. I am a Canadian living in Australia so really this has no bearing on me but at the same time I'm scared for the world if Trump wins. #imwithher

If there is any hope for the world, HRC will win. I think she will. I have to have faith.

I'm too afraid to make a prediction because I don't want to jinx anything.
I hope Hillary wins. Donald Trump terrifies me.

@winniebee: same. I know zero (admitted) trump supporters irl but they are obviously out there.

HRC for sure. I think the popular vote will be way closer than it should be though. I just don't see Trump winning the EC.

Honestly shocked by all these trump predictions! I thought it was just here. Next week is going to be a disaster one way or the other. Riots all over.
nectarine / 2878 posts
Unfortunately my state is always red but I still think HRC will be president.

This thread is making me nervous... I think the race has tightened but I'm hoping that all the early voting and mail-in voting will give HRC the edge. Back a couple of weeks ago, I think the leaked tapes pushed a lot of voters more firmly in HRC's direction.

@wrkbrk: I'm terrified of how many people may be saying they would never vote for Trump, but then secretly actually will on Election Day.

For the love....
I have no clue, but am desperately hoping Clinton wins.

@LibbyLou: do you really think riots all over regardless of who wins? I'm so curious to see how everyone responds!!

I hope Clinton wins. I would like to believe that we live in a country where trump won't be elected, but I also can't understand how he's gotten this far. I live in a very liberal state and region, so I know very few trump supporters. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that we could elect such a person. I'm very nervous about the outcome of this election.
My fiscally conservative brother, who refused to vote for trump, and who follows politics much more than I do, strongly believes that Hilary will win. I sincerely hope that he is right.

I wonder if the tightening polls will get some of the third party supporters to see reason and realize this election is too important to throw away a vote?
pomegranate / 3355 posts
Sadly/shockingly the majority of people I know are voting trump. Based on that I think he will win.
honeydew / 7504 posts
I'm getting super nervous. This latest email thing has hurt Clinton, even though so far they've not found anything. Plus, PA is still a very very close race, and with mass transit on strike in Philly, that could prevent a lot of the people who would be voting Democrat from getting to the polls. I'm very concerned that PA will swing Republican and that hurts the EC by a fairly large margin.

DH is voting today and he may be pulling my leg, but he says Trump has his vote

This thread is freaking me out. I think I've just been forcing myself to live in a bubble where I only focus on Clinton winning (despite living in a red state). I honestly cannot fathom living in America in 2016 and having that hateful, fear mongering, bigoted, awful man become the leader of our country. I just refuse to even give it voice. I hope I don't have to eat my words next week. I'm terrified for the future of my daughters.

@LulaBee: I feel the same way. Even though I'm across the pond, I've been intensely following the election since last year. I've managed to surround myself with news sources that help assuage my fears, and literally no one in my circle would ever vote for Trump, so I have a hard time imagining the country would actually elect someone so despicable. Since I'm abroad, I also don't really have a good "feel" of what Americans think and say. But every non-American I know is completely appalled by the idea of a Trump presidency.

I think there are a lot of people who will quietly vote for trump. (I am not one of them). This terrifies me.
ETA: I re-read that and realized it could be misunderstood. Let me clarify. I am NOT voting for Donald Trump.
pear / 1837 posts
@lamariniere: I guess I don't have a feel for what Americans think and say either, since I've surrounded myself with democrats.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@LulaBee: I agree with all of this.
I know a number of republicans (but like, northeast republicans who live in blue states) who simply refuse to vote. Which I guess I can understand. I think my dad is voting for trump though.
cherry / 186 posts
I have historically voted conservative as have a lot of people I know. However, I know most of these people will NOT vote for Trump (myself included). I've convinced myself HRC will run away with it. You guys are making me scared.

So if he wins and he's just going to be an asshole in the White House, fine. But what if he tries to repeal a few constitutional amendments, dismiss congress, declare a state of emergency, or send thugs to a few journalist's homes to make an example of them? Are we going to just sit there?
I don't expect or want an answer to this question on a public forum where anyone can see it. Just wanted to put it out there for you all to think about. If we all sit at home and wait for it to blow over, we're just like the Germans in 1933. It didn't just go away and blow over for them.

This thread is terrifying.
@ScarletBegonia: I've been banking on that site too.

I really, really hope I'm wrong, but I can see Trump winning based on the amount of support I see for him. 90% of my Facebook feed supports him and the overwhelming majority of bumper stickers and yard signs I see are Trump. I'm just going to believe that it's because I live in a highly conservative area and other parts of the country will balance it out.
pomegranate / 3127 posts
@lilteacherbee: for what it's worth, my Facebook feed is the opposite. Here's hoping.
pear / 1510 posts
HRC. Nate Silver still has her at 66%. And I'm convinced that Trump supporters are louder, but not more numerous. Of course, we won't know until Tuesday, but I really think HRC will win.
I'm so ready for this to be over.
