@LovelyPlum: I agree. Most the country is freaking out about Trump....but for democrats, Cruz and Rubio are far more frightening than Trump in terms of legislation they'd propose and support.

@Tidybee: But if most of the country is freaking out about Trump, how does he keep winning? My head spins on this constantly.

I would ideally vote for Bernie, though I am also happy to vote for HRC.
Cruz certainly scares me more than Trump - although both are embarrassing and scary IMO. Outside of Cruz's politics and views, I thought this article below was really interesting. Much of the Republican establishment also hates Cruz, and I hear a lot of dislike from R's as well as D's, so it's kind of an interesting article no matter your politics.

@MamaG: I think more people support him than care to admit because it's not popular opinion. I watch joe Scarborough every morning for at least a few minutes and he's said a lot of people on the side quietly say they could get behind him. My dad is a republican and will express his dismay at him but I just know privately he's not as disgusted as he says he is. given the choice between trump and a democrat, my dad will vote trump.

Bernie. I'm in NY and will vote for him in the Democratic primary. If Hillary ends up getting the nod I'll probably vote for her in the general election even though I don't really care for her. ANY of the Republican candidates scare me and/or I absolutely can't get behind their agendas. I was OK with Kasich if I HAD to choose an R candidate until he supported defunding Planned Parenthood.

I like Rubio or Cruz. I swing back and forth on liking Trump.
I just don't trust Hillary and I'm tired of the Clinton thing. Bernie is too far out there for me.

Probably Bernie but I would definitely vote for Hillary if she got the nomination. I am debating if I should vote Republican in the primary and choose someone other than Trump or Cruz, but I just don't know who I would feel comfortable going with.

@LovelyPlum: Did you live in Ohio when I did?!?!? I didn't realize that! I was there 2009-2011 and Kasich made such a mess of Ohio's education system.

@turkeylurkey: I really go back and forth on him to. I wish he would stop firing off his mouth bc I really think he would do some good and really dont think he would do some of the absurd things that he has said. But at the same time...I love that he isnt afraid to just speak freely and isnt rehearsed like most other politicians...

I'd vote for Bernie, although I'm sure that most of the country (even a lot of democrats) aren't ready for/open to the kind of changes he's proposing. The opposition he'd face in pushing those ideas through would be frustrating.
If Hillary is the nominee I'd absolutely vote for her, too, but I feel like she's less about change and more about keeping the status quo. However I'd much rather have the status quo than some loon like Trump or Cruz!

Rubio!
I'm really frustrated that the field won't winnow. I think if everyone but Rubio dropped out, we could defeat Trump, but they're too damn arrogant!

Between Kasich and Rubio though Kasich doesn't have a chance at this point.

@MamaG: because people are pissed after eight years of Obama, and are voting based on that emotion. I don't approve of all the crazy stuff he says and don't agree with a lot of it BUT that said I highly doubt he is as crazy as he makes himself out to be.

I just want to throw out there, that where I'm located in Texas they have been playing a lot of Rubio commercials. I feel it's kind of a mute point here as everybody I've talked to is either a Cruz or Trump supporter. Most in this area view Rubio as an establishment sell out. For reference I'm in a super rural area in Texas that probably majority of people financially survive off nuclear and chemical plants. So very labor intensive work.
