"I don't know if she is a participating provider but we will bill any insurance" is an acceptable answer??
"Don't worry, we aren't concerned about your cost but we will make sure we get paid."

I would find another provider if that was my doctors answer. That's not acceptable- they know what insurances they work with!

We have a new plan with a new company and everyone in the practice is covered but my MW. The insurance thinks it's a mistake but the office gives me the run around.
I'm so fed up with this practice. I have a milk blister on my nipple and I called the LC at the hospital. She made me an appointment at my OB office saying they would be better equipped to handle it.
They make me wait for forty minutes, take my weight, urine sample, and check the baby's heart rate. Umm...why? I'm here about my nipple! Then the NP asks me mastitis related questions. When did you stop nursing? (I haven't). Is there redness and swelling? Fever? No!! It's a milk bleb! Well I will have someone call in antibiotics for you tomorrow.
Gahhh. So frustrating. I wish there was another practice in town.
