I did around 12 but it wasn't connected to anything but a DVD player so I was never watching "secret" things without my parents permission. I have no idea what we will do but right now, I'm thinking no. We will see.

I doubt it. We don't have one in our room and I feel your room should be for sleep and solitude for the most part. I also think it can get you into a bad habit of falling asleep with tv and that can be a hard habit to break-I know a few adults who have to have the tv on to fall asleep.

We have one in her room. Just because it's there doesn't mean it's on all day. Or everyday for that matter. She actually requests to watch movies down in the basement instead. I like that I can put that and all her Disney movies away in her room.

Nope! We did put one in the play room for DVDs. If they want a special show and we don't want to listen to it, about once a month they will watch something in our room.

Same as @Truth Bombs: . We have two common areas and the kids will resort to watching their shows downstairs.
Growing up, more often than not the whole family watched together.

No... We don't have one in our bedroom either.
We do have the iPad though if anyone is sick or something and wants to watch a show in bed.
