Or did you fill out an absentee ballot?
Thankfully, tomorrow is the day my mom watches my son so I can leave the house a little early to vote before work. When do you plan to vote?

Going this afternoon as soon as DH gets home! I'm excited - my first time voting! Woohoo!

DH and I usually go before work to vote, but since LO is here, he will go before work and I will go after.

I will vote before work. The lines seem shorter first thing in the AM. Plus I work in a state-government-affiliated job so people give you the stinkeye if they don't think you voted.
ETA: This is my first presidential election at my current polling place, though, so I might be completely wrong.

During! I am lucky enough to have flexible work hours, so I will be going mid-day (but not around lunchtime) and voting with the retirees, when hopefully the line is shortest!

We're going to go right when the polls open because I have to drive my husband to the airport right after.

I have no clue what time I will get out of work tomorrow so I have no choice but to go in the AM. Planning on getting there at 630 so I won't be to far back in line, hopefully, when they open at 7.
Tomorrow is our anniversary, so DH is going to go in the morning too. Hopefully that way we can both leave work early enough we don't miss our 8 reservations for dinner. Going to be a long day tomorrow.

DH works 8am-10:30pm so he is going on "lunch break" to vote. He is coming to get me first though. actually the polling place is right next door haha.

I'm a SAHM so I can really go whenever, but I'll go with DH before he goes to work.

DH and I are going to go after work. Neither of us are morning people, and polls are open late, plus we only live a few blocks away.

We got our vote-by-mail ballots but didn't send them out early enough! So I'll be stopping by the polls after work to drop mine off.

My morning is free until 11 so I will be voting then. My polling place is at the elementary school across the street, so very convenient.

I'm a SAHM so not sure when I'll go. Can I bring DD in the booth with me??

I'm dropping off my absentee ballot today on the way home from work.

I voted absentee, have been exit polled and asked to be part of a year long focus group. I love exercising my civic rights!

@Mrs. Jacks: I was just looking for you! So, we are voting absentee, BUT we forgot to send them in last week. Do you know if we can just drop them off at one of the local voting locations tomorrow?
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Boogs: Yes you can. I am happy to find out where your nearest location is as well. Do you want to FB PM me and I'll get on the job?!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: I know where the nearest locations are. DH and I just wanted to make sure it was okay if we just dropped them off. So it doesn't matter where?
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Boogs: I usually drop them off at the most convenient election headquarters. You can also do it at your designated polling station, but I always think that the less hands on my ballot, the better

I did early voting by mail, but will be hand delivering it sometime mid-morning. I definitely agree- the fewer people involved with handling my ballot, the better!

@Mrs. Jacks: Always! Even if I know that Roseanne Barr likely won't win! ;p j/k

I voted by absentee ballot this year since Baby is due today Of course now that it looks like Baby is not coming any time soon, I wish that I could be voting in person, but glad that I didn't have to worry about it.

I already voted! It's so important. I'm happy hearing all you busy moms making time for it!

@DigAPony: There are no polling stations in the whole state? Everyone HAS to mail it in?! Wow!!!
pear / 1787 posts
@woodentulip: Yeah, voters made that a law here in 1998. You get your ballot in the mail and then mail it back or drop it off at a ballot box. Same in Washington state too. I've read that over time it reduces election costs. I think it's pretty awesome and convenient.
