If I'm working downtown, I get up at 6am, and DH gets LO up either when she wakes up or by 6:15 if she's not awake. I get ready while she plays with her dad, and when I'm ready, I come and nurse her while he gets his shower. We play on the bed till he's done. He takes her down and gets his breakfast and hers while I get dressed. I try to leave by 6:45 (I shower and do my hair at night), but most days I'm leaving closer to 7.

If I work from home, we get up either when she wakes up or by 6:15, whichever is earliest. DH changes her and brings her in to me to nurse her. He gets his shower. We play on the bed till he's done. He takes her downstairs and either I close my eyes for 10 minutes (yay DH for letting me do this!) or I get a couple of things tidied up in the bedroom. I come down and finish giving her breakfast so he can get ready, and then I get her dressed and packed up for daycare by about 7:45 or so. He aims to be out the door by 7:45.

DH does daycare drop offs and pickups unless he has an early meeting or appointment downtown. Our daycare is 10 minutes from our house and 2 minutes from his office.

In the evenings, she's usually picked up around 4:30 and DH starts her supper around 5-5:15. I'm home by 5:30 or 5:45 if I'm working downtown. We start bedtime routine at 6:30 (earlier if there's a bath involved) and she's usually in her crib, lights out at 7. We go to bed between 9:30 and 10.

Most days J is home with DH but on the days he goes to daycare, he goes after 1pm, so I don't need to get him out the door in the morning.

- I wake up at 5:30 and get in my shower, dressed, coffee, etc.
- Work from 7:30 to 5:30
- If I pick J up from daycare, we're home by 6
- immediately start dinner, try to get everyone fed by 7
- bath and get clothes/bags/etc. ready for next day between 7 & 8
- get J to bed between 8 & 9
- I try to be in bed between 10 & 11

*DH works most nights, so anything after 6pm is almost always on my own

This is the IDEAL schedule...but lets be honest, more often than not, it's about 15 mins pushed back.

5:00am wake up and get ready
5:30 wake R up and feed her bottle/ get her dressed/ get daycare bags prepped
6:00 leave house
6:15 get to daycare--she eats breakfast there
7:00 get to work
2:30 leave work
3:15 pick up R
3:30-5:00 play with R and/or run errands
5:30 R's dinner and bathtime
6:00p R's bedtime
6:00-7:30/8: Make dinner, get bottles prepped, clean, laundry, etc
Aim to be asleep by 10

*My husband is often working until 6:30 or later so I handle most of the schedule by myself

*I shower and do my hair at night...there is NO way I could do it in the morning, particularly the mornings R wakes up on her own

G is almost 9 months old

-Between 6-6:30 G wakes up (and we wake up when she does) and gets 7oz
-DH feeds her while I get ready, then we switch and I play with her for a bit/get her dressed/get bag together (I make her breakfast + lunch night before)
-We are out the door by 7:15
-DH takes her to daycare 7:30, we both are at work by 8am
-I get off at 4:30, go get G, am home by 5. I either start dinner or we just play around until
-DH gets home at 5:30. We try to all eat, but if not, this is when G eats
-Depending on her mood, it's either straight to bath or more playtime
-Bath sometime between 6-6:30
-Bed between 6:30-7

After dinner we eat if we need to, clean the kitchen, make her food for the next day, and hang out together. Usually in bed by 10

ETA: It took me several months to get my groove, but now I think I really have a good system and we can get out the door in 30 mins in the morning if need be!

6 am - Wake up and head downstairs to gym
6.30am - DH gets up with DD and gives 8oz of milk
7am - I get back from gym and jump into shower while DH dresses DD and gets coffee and breakfast going.
7.20 - DH and I switch over, he goes to shower and I eat, drink coffee and make sure lunches are packed etc.
8.00 DH leaves for work and I finish putting on makeup, dishces etc.
8.15 - DD and I leave home and head to daycer
8.40 - I jump on the subway after drop off and head to my office. I usually get to my desk at 9.00 or 9.10.

Leave work at 5.00 sometimes DH does pick up, sometimes I do it.
6.15 make dinner for DD while DH plays with her.
6.30 DD eats
7.30 bath time followed by bed
8.00 DH and I make and eat our dinner, relax and watch TV
10.30 we head to bed after making sure dishwasher is loaded and running and lunches are packed.

I’m VERY lucky that LO’s daycare is on the same campus as my employer, so I don’t have to factor extra commute time between daycare and work into my schedule anymore.

My hours are pretty flexible, as long as I’m in the office for “core hours”, and as long as I work at least 40 hours a week.

LO eats a small breakfast at home (milk plus cereal or a scrambled egg or fruit) and then all the kids start their day at the table having milk and breakfast (cereal/muffin/banana bread/etc.) at school.

We all wake up around 6:45am and DH takes LO and gets her breakfast while I shower and get ready. LO and I leave at by 7:45 and I get to my office by 8:30. I eat breakfast at work.

I leave around 5:30, get LO and we get home around 6:15. She gets dinner pretty much right away (usually our leftovers from the previous night, or I’ll premake pasta or chicken or something that can be quickly warmed and add a veg and fresh fruit + yogurt to her plate). She goes to sleep at 8pm. We eat dinner after she goes to sleep.

Rinse and repeat M-F

5:00 a.m. - wake up, shower, hair, make-up, get bottles ready, etc
6:10 - nurse Xander, put him back to bed
6:30 - get dressed and head out to work
6:40 - Hubs wakes up! Jerk... Showers, gets dressed, has breakfast, etc
7:20 - Hubs gets Xander up and changed and brings him to daycare before going to work
8:00 - Xander has breakfast at daycare

4:30 p.m. - I leave work and head to daycare to pick up Xander
5:30 - home! Playtime and then dinner for Xander
7:00 - bedtime for Xander!
7:30 - dinner for us, relaxing, getting things ready for the next day
10:00 - bedtime for us!

Life is anything but typical right now. But on a regular work day, our schedule looked like this.

Mornings:
6:30 - I get up, shower, get dressed and get ready for work
7:00 - get LO up. If he is still sleeping (maybe 50% of the time), we let him sleep in until 7:30 at the latest
7:30 - breakfast
8:00 - out the door for daycare

Afternoons / Evenings:
5:00 - pick up LO from daycare
5:10 - get home, prep dinner while LO plays
5:45-6:00 - DH gets home, eat dinner together
6:15-6:45 - play time
6:45-7:00 - bedtime routine, he gets a bath maybe every other day now
7:15-7:30 - in bed. 7:30 is usually the latest he is in bed and he is often asleep by 7:30-7:45.
7:30-10 - clean up, go to the gym, relax, watch TV, work, whatever...

My day looks pretty much like @Sammyfab: except i pick LO up around 4:45 and she doesn't fall asleep until 8:45pm. Seriously, how come all of your LOs go to bed so early??

I find the biggest thing that helps with the routine is lots of planning and prep. I rarely shower in the mornings, and i have our lunches ready in the fridge and bags by the door. Because no matter how "ready" i am, there's always stuff that goes down to delay getting out. I also have dinner prepped the night before, especially on nights that i'm flying solo.

LO will usually play in the kitchen while i try to clean up. Right now she's happy playing with water in two basins, and that'll give me about 15-20 minutes to do dishes and put stuff away.

It takes a while to get into a groove, so don't worry if it takes some time. Everyone is different and sometimes it depends on how your LO is that day!

DS is 8 months old

Between 3:30 and 4 - nurse DS and he goes back to sleep
5:45 - I wake up and get ready for work
6:15 - Wake DS up and get him changed
6:25/6:30 - Leave to drop DS off at daycare (gets a bottle at day care around 7/7:30)

3:50 - leave work to pick up DS
5:30/6 - nurse DS depending on when he last ate
6:30/7 - DH and I eat and DS sits with us at the dinner table
8 - bathe DS and let him play or nurse him if he's hungry/sleepy

I do woh but I take A with me so I know it's not the same but we still have to box smart to get ready and out.

6.30-7 - up and nurse.
7 - A plays while I make her breakfast and prep her milk and water cups and try prep my breakfast
7.10 - get A in highchair and eating. If DH is up at a similar time he watches her while I shower, if not then I bring her highchair into the bathroom so she can eat while I shower
7.20 - do makeup and get ready quickly then eat my own breakfast
7.50 - Change A's diaper, clean her up after breakfast and get her dressed for the day
8.05 - Both clean teeth
8.10 - we leave home to catch the subway and get to work at about 8.30 but this last week we've been leaving 5/10 mins later and we need to pull it back.
5.40 - arrive home, grab A à snack and she plays while I either heat up a dinner that we made Sunday, or make à fresh one that I hopefully prepped some of Sunday
6.15 - eat dinner together
7 ish - bath A then pjs
7.30 - stories, night nights and bed
8 - leave A after getting her down
8-8.30 - prep next day's dinner, clean highchair and floor, clean kitchen
9 - cup of tea and chill
9.30-11ish - DH time then bed

Sometimes this works really well, other times I feel like the apartment is never clean and I never get any me time. Since A is at work with me I don't have to factor playing with her into our evening, which helps with time.

ETA: When I don't have to bundle us up in so much winter gear it will shave off at least 5 minutes. I also don't need to pack à bag for her which helps loads.

I don't have a set schedule, really, I do a lot the night before so I can get ready in the morning in 15 minutes.

I go to bed VERY early, so it cuts out a lot of time to do things during the week, but I need A LOT of sleep to function.

5:30 alarm goes off
5:35 alarm goes off
5:40 alarm goes off, husband yells at me to get up, I'm going to be late.
5:43 shower.
6:04 I am dressed and ready to go.
6:05 wake up toddler.
6:10 hopefully making our way downstairs to breakfast.
6:30 notice toddler has only eaten half of her food and is still eating. Slowly. Way. Too. Slowly. Know there is going to be a battle in about 8 minutes.
6:38 time to get in the car. Commence screaming.
6:42 strapped in, leaving driveway.
6:58 arrive at daycare 3 minutes late.
7:05 leave daycare.
7:33 arrive at work 3 minutes late.

I seriously need 10 more minutes in the morning that doesn't come from an earlier time!! I need to start my work day at 7:40. It's just the truth of it all.

@lovelyplum, you know what, i am amazed at what i can get done when i'm on a time crunch. Efficiency is the name of the game I do miss tv, though, lol

Here's my schedule LO is 22 months old.
5:00 a.m.- DH leaves for workout & work
6:00 a.m. - Wake up
6 - 7 a.m. - Get ready: Shower, Hair, Makeup
7 a.m. - Wake up B
7 - 7:30- Get B dressed and make him smoothie
7:30 - 7:45- walk dogs, make sure they have water and food
7:45- Leave house
8 a.m. - Arrive at daycare
8:30 - Get to work
8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (MWF)- Work
8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. (T, T)- work
5 - 5:30 MWF- pick up B from daycare
5:30 - 6 MWF - commute home
6- 6:30 MWF- make B dinner
6:30 - 7 MWF- eat dinner, watch TV, play
7 - 7:30 - bath time and story time
7:30- bed time
7:30 - 8- workout
10- bedtime
