As long as DS (baby #1) is in school before baby #3 comes, then we will still plan on having 3. Three daycare payments would be double our mortgage and we are in a lower cost state (we are very lucky to "only" pay $825 a month for 1 in daycare).

We're done with 2. Cost of daycare, cost of living, bigger car, more extracurricular activities.... all of this makes me sure that after 2 I'm for sure done. With 2 in daycare my take home will almost entirely be gone, but in 4 years when they're both in school full time, we'll be better off that I have kept active in my field and haven't given up my professional license.

We want two but if I wanted three the cost wouldn't stop me.
It might cost more than I make to pay for 3 in daycare but I would still ride it out for a year or so until the oldest was in public school. In my industry you take a BIG pay cut if you have to find a new job after being a SAHM. I would just ride it out for a year or two.

I think I want 3, but I think at that point I won't work until some are in school!
ETA: DH thinks we can only afford 2.

I want 3, but our max is 4. We won't be having #3 until #1 is in school, though. 2 in daycare is the max we can comfortably afford. Otherwise we'll have to get an au pair or something. No way in hell am I going to stay home!!!
Daycare is CHEAP compared to a nanny here. The nearest center (that we like!) is $130/week for age 2 and up. So, obviously that's a big factor!

We will probably stick with 2 and through unless the need for 3 is biting at us.

We are on the fence between 2 & 3, we won't decide until after #2 comes if we want to jump into #3 (which would happen like a year after #2 becuase I want to be done before I hit 32.)

we have a nearly 15 month old son now. we have always said that we'll have two, but if it's another boy we'll entertain the idea of having a third child just to see if we could also get a girl. i'm convinced we'll end up with a second son and then twin boys, haha.

I think any more and I'd have to stay home. Full time daycare for one is almost $2400/month!
