Please help more fashionable bees:
In desperate need of a loafer type shoe (or more stylish suggestion) to wear with work pants. I am 5'9 and a teacher, so on my feet most of the day and never, ever wear heels. I would ideally like something that will last, but also don't want to spend a ton of money because I am really hard on shoes and they never seem to last. Any suggestions?

Crocs! The busy day, kadee, and at work flat are the ones I'd look at. They're like walking on marshmallows. And I always get compliments and nobody knows they're crocs.

@MrsSRS: I got the crocs kadee in Leopard recently and I now wear them nearly every day because they are so comfy. Have you worn them in the summer? My only concern is how they’ll be when it’s sweaty hot out. Love them right now.

@bhbee: I liked the kadee ok because it was a little ventilated but I got too sweaty in the solid flats. The truth is anything is fine in a/c but outside I just want flip flops

Clarks and Born usually have some non-ugly options and they're made for comfort. SAS are supposed to be incredibly comfy but they might all be hideous.
Not on our feet all day like you, but I have some co-workers who commute (in NYC this involves 1-3 miles of walking a day) in these Everlane loafers which are gorgeous and really hold up. Also, I walk 3 miles a day for my commute, and I'm halfway through a pregnancy--all through the freezing spring I've been wearing all black Nike Free Flyknit sneakers to work with black tights or mat leggings, and I think depending on what you're wearing they can look cool. They are so awesome. I keep them on if I'm wearing a black sweater dress or black leggings and a blouse. Dunno if fashion-y sneakers are an option for you though

Dr Scholls has a ton of comfort flats. I have a few pairs in leopard print that have memory foam inside.

I've purchased a brand called "Me Too" at DSW...they were fairly basic but cute ballet flats in neutral colors with a cushy insole and stretchy back/sides. They looked professional, but were also ok to push two kids around Brooklyn while pregnant.

@LCTBQE: I was going to suggest the everlane loafers too! Madewell has something similar as well.
I have a pair of dr scholls that are so cute, people can’t believe that’s what they are when they ask.
