@blackbird: I thought I would be able to make it a priority. But alas besides taking care of my son and work, sleep is the next prirority, ha!!

@winniebee: Sleep really does win out at this point. I know it's a huge reason I can't get into a routine.

@bree72: I'm sad because I like working out but until my LO starts sleeping later than 5, I really have to go to bed at 9:30. He usually wakes once, so I'm only getting 7 hours as is. Ugh.

@winniebee, that's what I figure my husband is for, lol! Pick up those extra 3-4 hours of slack time.

@T-mom, there's a really great article on Nerd Fitness about how lack of time is never an acceptable answer, it just means it's not a priority. It really makes you think about all the extra stuff that you *could* give up (Tv, internet), if you valued exercise more. It's a good perspective that makes you think about all the wasted time!

There's a mom with a 3 month old, who works a full time job, who manages to make it to CF pretty regularly, so it's really nice to see. In fact, most of the people at my CF gym have kids. So i know it can be done

I do sporadically. It's hard to get into a consistent routine because so many things are always coming up. I would really love to work out more.

@JoJoGirl: Definitely have DH do the daycare drop off is he is the one working later. My husband and I had a bit of a tiff of who had to do the drop off, since we are essentially going to work at the same time, but I told him if I am nursing baby twice before work he gets to do the drop off. I do so much more in the morning than he does. Plus, it takes him like 15 min to get ready.

@winniebee: Yes, DH is around to watch baby. I guess your only option is to do a video if you can put him in a seat to watch or if he will go back to sleep. Mine will usually do this, but like I said, he's pretty easy-going in general.

@ValentineMommy: Yeah, I am pretty lucky with my schedule right now. I do work full-time, but its nice to work 9-5 or 6 pm rather than earlier so I can get my morning routine in. I can't imagine I would do it if I planned to do so in the evenings...just too tired!

@Amelieisme: I agree. The only issue will be that he also likes to work out in the morning, so we may have to split it, like i do 3 days, he does 2 or something.

I do work out on a regular basis, but only twice a week right now. DH completely gets LO ready on his own these days - feeds her, bathes her, dresses her, drops off, etc. I'd like to do more days, but I don't want to push my luck. We both get up at 5:15 every morning - gym or no gym. When I'm home I shower and get ready first and then take care of LO. When he's alone he does it all and still makes it out of the house by 6:45 am. That being said, I do everything the night before. Pack his lunch, her bag, put out her clothes, etc so all he has to do is go through the motions. He's so helpful and it's great. Getting back into a workout routine has been just great. I'm hoping as she gets older and maybe a little easier I can add another day or two.
