7am to 4:30pm only because I asked my work if I could work 8.5 hr days with a half hour lunch. It takes me 1/2 hour to get from work to her. She is always the first in.

When DD was in daycare she was the first to get there by at least an HOUR!!!! I got her first, because I was a teacher and was done by 3, but it sucked.

7:45 am - 5 pm. They are open from 7 am - 6 pm. There are always kids there earlier and later so that makes me feel better. So I totally get why that made you sad. But he did really well yesterday right? He will learn so much there and have tons of fun.

My girl isn't in daycare yet (she's not even here, I'm due Monday haha!) but I fully expect her to be at daycare from 7:30/45 - 5:30. We will be putting her in an in-home daycare and she is 'open' from 6:30-6:30 to accomidate the parents very different schedules. Some are school teachers so I know their kids will be there before mine, but I expect they'll be picked up earlier too.
I'm going to try not to let it worry me (we'll see how that goes) as it's just what our reality is. I can't change my work schedule and my husband's is even less flexible than mine. I'm just happy to have found a caregiver who has hours that work with our needs and aren't more expensive because of it!

8:30 to about 5:30.. So 9 hours :-(. They seem very happy though, and busy.

When still nursing/pumping my son was there from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm. After that I was able to get about an hour of my day back so it changed from 6:45am to 4:15pm. My son is always the first to arrive and when an infant, usually one of the last to leave.

We're really lucky in that my husband has much more flexible hours than I do, so he's able to do the majority of drop-offs and pick-ups. LO generally goes from 8:30-4:30, except on Tuesdays (my day to pick up) where she goes from 8:30-5:15.

DH drops her off between 7:15 and 7:30 (daycare opens at 7am). I pick her up around 4:15 (daycare closes at 5pm)

So . . . math. Um - 9 hours?

@krsmall: Yay, new job! That smaller commute is a huge blessing! Congrats.

@winniebee: I decided not to go back to work because of this--he would have been there for 12 hours and sometimes it wouldn't be long enough and I would have to pay $5 for every 2 minutes I was late due to traffic. I would drop him off at 6am and pick him up at 6pm if traffic was good. Sometimes I have gotten home at 7pm (before LO).

We haven't started yet, but it'll probably be 10 hours (7:00 - 5:00).

On long days, 10 hours, maybe even 10.5. Some days though my husband and I can stagger our schedules so I take her in late and he picks her up early so shes only there like 7 hours (and sleeping for 2 of those hours).
