Maddy is the star of the show so to say, I'm worried about what's going to happen when this baby gets here.
Actually I'm worried about all the aspects! Feeding, sleeping, my sleep, space, all that stuff.. Dh thinks I'm crazy for worrying!

@StbHisMrs: Charlie loved his sister right out of the gate!

I'm worrying too! My girls will be almost 16 months apart and I hope it is a easy transition for my LO.

I think that having them close is easier for the older sibling initially. They aren't old enough to be jealous and can't express themselves well enough to be hurtful about it. They just kind of adapt and go with the flow. At least that was our experience. Older kids seem to get more upset about the big change in their lives.

@Mrs. Superhero: I totally agree! At least, that was our experience.
I think if we had baby #2 now (when Charlie is 3 years plus), it'd be so much harder.

Our two under two thrived. It was a bit chaotic for a little while, but a whole lot of fun!

I want my kids super close and this also makes me rethink our decisions every so often. I know lots of people who do it and its crazy for a while, but then you have kids that are close in age, hopefully best friends, and great playmates

@StbHisMrs: Ours won't be two under two... they'll be 25-months apart, but I also have the same worries!

I was worried about having 2 under 2, but our transition was really smooth. My kids are 21 months apart and DD is great with her brother.
She has the occasional freak out when he cries and I try to get him, she mimics his cry, wants a diaper change when he gets one.. but 90% of the time she's good.

@mrbee: cute cute cute, thank you for sharing How old was Charlie?
@Mrs. Superhero: Boy I hope that is our case, she gets really clingy when her step-sisters are here! She does try to share her toys with Chloe (4.5) but Chloe doesn't want to share
@Mrs. Jacks: Our situation is a bit chaotic now, I do expect it to get worse, Hoping for some fun to be mixed in too!
@mamabird: That is exactly my reasoning, he thinks the three years between our youngest two is too much. I'm beginning to see how right he is. On the flipside our oldest (11) and Maddy (16 mo) are very very close, nothing comes between them
@Mrs. High Heels: close enough!! Ours will be 22 months apart.
@chopsuey: that's good to hear
I'm wanting to start potty training her, but I'm kind of worried about a regression. She sleeps poorly already no regression wirry there though!!

Ours are 21 months apart and I think it's the perfect age gap. DD and DS are great playmates and I think they'll get even closer as they get a little older. Having two under two has actually been much easier than I thought it would be. Yes I'm tired all the time, but otherwise it hasn't been nearly as hard as other people said it would be.

Don't worry. Two under two is to too bad. You'll do great. Sometimes it's a little hectic but the older ones really do just go with the flow
