What's the worst breakup you ever had?

This is so lame. BF 1 and I broke up over the phone. BF2 and I broke up over the phone. HAHA.
BF2 and I were together for a long time too. Oh wells. Good riddance! -
One bf of 2.5 years (we were already on and off and not good to each other) moved to another city 1000s of miles away and didn't tell me about it..

(I don't regret it though. I just feel even happier about my relationship with DH. I learned a lot from that failed relationship!)

Seriously. I look back on my past relationships and am SO thankful I married DH. Learned a lot from my past relationships too. -
@artbee we had mutual friends and it got around! Plus he would say he'd meets somewhere and then make up a lame excuse. We were teens just out of hs. We actually wound up on civil terms and he's an ok guy...now!

@googly-eyes: so not only did he not tell you he was leaving he lied about it? Why, and did he think he'd get away with it?
I dumped my bf of 7 1/2 years after many lies, the last straw lie was when he told me he was going to school and he wasn't. He told me how his classes were going, his grades, what his teachers were like and specific things that went on in class that day. Class that he never went to.

@artbee LOL our exes sound alike! I actually asked him if e thought he could just never tell me and he just said he didn't know, he was messed up.

My worst breakup was with DH. We've dated since we were 16, but we broke up for 8 months in college and there was NO assumed possibility of getting back together. It was awful and very dramatic, but eventually things worked out and here we are
The breakup was honestly the best thing to happen to our relationship even though at the time it sucked. REALLY. bad.

The worst break up I had was when I broke up with my boyfriend of a year and he wouldn't let me go. I had to see him at school everyday and it was rough. He cried, begged, yelled, threatened, did everything he could think of for me to change my mind. It was a rough time. He definitely had some anger issues.

They guy I was dating while I was in grad-school broke up with my by IM. He said I was "hot, but uninteresting".
It totally blew my mind because I always thought I made up for being less hot, by being more interesting... it took me a while to figure out that what he really meant was "I'm threatened by the fact that you're smarter than me". -
My worst breakup with with my serious, long term live-in bf of my early 20's. He cheated and picked her over me - forcing me to move out of our shared home, and started to date her before I left the house. I didn't go on any dates (serious or fun) for over a year, and refused to actually give anyone a second date or think about a relationship for well over 2 years after. My husband was the first serious relationship following that breakup, and I had no intention of our relationship being/getting serious at the beginning.

A boyfriend of mine had his mom dump me. Seriously, she came over to my house, sat down with me and told me that he "just wasn't ready for a relationship." To be fair, we were 15, but still...
I'm glad about it though. Six months later I started dating DH. -
It was with a dumb boyfriend in high school. There may have been some drink throwing in his face during the whole event.

I never really had a real relationship before Rob Sr., and we've never broken up, so I guess I haven't really been through a breakup before. But Rob Sr.'s girlfriend from freshman year of college takes the cake. LONG story short, he had to lie and promise her that they would get back together after graduation to get her to accept the breakup. Thank God she didn't hold him to it, because by then Rob Sr. and I were together!!
