Madeline's first Christmas started on Christmas Eve around 10 when she woke up projectile vomiting and gagging on thick phlegm. We got really freaked out when she didn't seem to be breathing properly and called 911. Her and I rode to the children's hospital in the ambulance. We were there from 11:45-5:15am on Christmas Day. She wouldn't stop throwing up, even after a dose of zofran. They took X-rays to rule out a blockage and thanks god those came back clean. We left with no real diagnosis.

Around 11 am on Christmas Day my husband started vomiting. Strangely that made us feel a bit better that is must be a virus. No fever or anything for either one of them. Madeline continued to throw up most of what she ate all day and I was basically solo parenting. It got better around 4:30pm.

We were supposed to fly to Halifax today and figured we may make up. Until I woke up at 4am throwing up. Ugh. I'm just now over two hours since my last episode, it had been every hour.

We changed our flight to tomorrow and I seem to be feeling better. My husband feels fairly decent and Madeline hasn't thrown up since 3:30pm yesterday. And she's had wet diapers and tears so we are no longer concerned about dehydration.

Oh and did I mention she's ebf and won't take a bottle so I've had to nurse her in between throwing up.

Merry f-ing Christmas. I think it could be norovirus.

Just needed to rant.
