Question.

We went to visit friends this past weekend for a friendsgiving. Our son and their child are 8 weeks apart so it's fun to see them together (and we live far apart so get togethers are rare).

We arrive and about 30-45 minutes after we got there they told us their LO was just getting over coxaxie/hand foot mouth.

Ugh. Our son had already drunk from their sippy cup and germs had been swapped.

I'm hoping we avoid it - LO felt a little warm, but he is usually warm so hopefully he is fine.

But now I am a little annoyed. Wouldn't you warn other people before going over? I know they thought if they told us ahead we wouldn't go (which is probably true) but at least tell us when we arrive so I can avoid the shared-sippy incident and try to minimize exposure.

Or maybe I am over thinking this? I would tell someone in advance. Just the day before a friend called before we came over to let us know their son had pink eye, so we cancelled.

I'm thinking about calling my friend and telling him my thoughts on this, but am not sure if I am over-reacting.
