As long as it was scolding the behavior and not the child, I would probably be okay with it.

If it was a situation like art bee posted I would hope they would speak sternly to them. If it came to more than that and a time out was warranted, and I was downstairs, I think I would want the friend to bring Lo to me to set the punishment. But if they were babysitting we'd prob discuss discipline ahead of time.

I'd be upset if they yelled at, used physical discipline (like a swat or arm grab), or a time out. If I wasn't there, I'd say a time out is okay.

I would 100% want an adult to stop my child from doing something dangerous or tell him to stop being disrespectful & then let me know so we can use the consequences we see fit.

It depends on the method used, but in general, no.

We plan to use non-punitive discipline/unconditional parenting, and NO ONE I know does that. So I wouldn't be okay with it simply because I know they'd be handling it in a way I'm not comfortable with.

I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as there was no physical punishment or yelling involved.

I always worry about this, because I'm the friend! I don't have kids(yet), but if I see my friends child(ren) doing something bad, I'm not going to sit there and watch it happen! It's just in my nature I guess!

ETA: I would never do anything other than tell them no or stop, etc. Then I go tell the parent(s) if they are around. Otherwise I wait until I see them and tell them then.
