BJ? I watched Reba earlier and now I'm watching Love It Or List It. I want to inappropriately giggle every time I hear someone call another person "BJ" - apparently I'm 12.

LOL. I would probably giggle too. I definitely wouldn't intentionally give out those initials. hah.

My ex-boyfriend's initials were BJB...I felt so bad for him!
ETA: And he DEFINITELY got teased for it too. It didn't help that we dated in high school and he was pretty lewd/innapropriate and talked about sexual things a lot...probably to compensate for the teasing.

I used to work with a woman named BJ- it took me a long time to be able to call her by her name with a straight face. (Apparently I'm twelve too
)

If I liked both names, I might...but I would never shorten it on purpose.

I probably would not. I'd have to really like the name. I do know someone with the initials BMJ...so either BM or BJ. Uhhh

Yup. My LO's initials are BJ, my husband's, too. My co-worker and my cousin also go by BJ. My husband didn't get picked on for it. Not everyone is 12!

My DH's first middle initials are BJ. I don't think he ever got made fun of for it, but it's not first last, which would be more noticeable though. He likes that his initials are BJ (insert eye roll here).
My LO's first middle initials are CM, which makes me think of TTC.

Probably not. As a funny aside... the following convo happened with my hs bf's mom. His name was AJ and his mom said she wanted to name him something that she could call him by his initials. Last name started with M.
Her: I wanted to name him Brian and call him BJ. But Then his initials would've been BM.
Me: ...... so?
Her: BM. Like bowel movement? I thought kids would make fun of him.
Me: I think they'd make fun of him for BJ more than BM.
Her: BJ? Why?
Me: ........................................

We would never do this. I was in a wedding a few years ago and the best man was BJ Weiner. Not kidding. And we are apparently 12

I would not but I do have a family member with those initials and it doesn't seem to have caused any issues for him.

Our last name starts with a J and we purposely didn't even consider first names that started with a B. My MIL's initials are BJ and she goes by BJ. I hate it. I feel weird talking about her by name out in public or to people I don't know well.

Our first pick boy's name hadvthe initials BJ then last name G, DH noticed it and vetoed

If I liked a name, I'd use it no matter what the initials are. I would just avoid getting anything monogrammed.

I knew a guy in HS who went by BJ. I guess I was too innocent at the time to notice.
I would avoid the initials.

Nope. We knew LO would have a J middle name (after DH's grandfather) so although DH like Bryce as a name I vetod it immediately because of his middle name. Once he realized his initials would be BJ he quickly decided he didn't like the name anymore
