So my MIL called the other day to ask if I'd be willing to pose nude for her to sketch, and eventually paint, me this...well, *ripe* was the word she used.

I told her had gotten my membranes stripped a few hours before, and there was a chance it could put me into labor, so she asked if DH could take some photos of me that she could use to make a sketch. DH had to work, so I ended up taking them myself with a timer and emailing them to her.

She's an artist, and I've seen some of the nudes she's done, and they're always very tastefully executed, gorgeous, and very rarely include faces. She'd told me if I was more comfortable I could drape a sheet over anything I wouldn't want seen, but I didn't bother.

The photos I sent aren't like, pornographic or anything; most of them are side profile (sitting or standing) in half of them either my hands/arms or hair is covering my chest, but I am bare-chested in some of them.

I'm usually pretty modest about my body, but being pregnant, especially this pregnant, has freed something. I won't say I love being pregnant, and I definitely miss my non-pregnant body, but I love looking at the curve of my stomach and knowing my child is in there. I trust her completely, and I'm excited to see her finished product.

Would you ever be willing to pose nude (pregnant or otherwise) for a painting (or other art-form?)
