I don't have any tattoos but if I was going to get one, it would probably be my son's name. Not sure where I would put it tho.

Hmm I don't think so, only because then I would feel like I would have to get one for each child! And I don't think I could handle/have enough places to get three tattoos if we have 3 kids.

@hilsy85: haha yeah that's true. Maybe I would wait until after we're done having kids to decide.

I would never get a tattoo (too permanent for me) but if ever I did: it would be of my son's name.
ETA: @hilsy85: right....this complicates things!

I wouldn't just because I hate needles and don't want a tattoo, but my DH did!

@hilsy85: I wouldn't, either, for the same reasons. And I'm afraid of needles, haha.

I would definitely get a tattoo that symbolizes him, but not his name. Birthdate yes.

No, but that's because I'm not into tattoos and wouldn't get one of anything. DH has two tattoos though so I have nothing against them.

@sera_87: I like the birth date idea. Just a line, and you can add a line underneath it for subsequent children.

I don't think I'd do name, I don't think I could ever settle on a font I'd love for long enough, however, thumb print is something I've considered, or foot print (lot of space 1+ LOs though for where I'd want it).
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@sera_87: Ooo no, but that's pretty much exactly what I was picturing!

@mrskc: I want to get one with my son's birth date, but probably not his name, unless I got a bible verse from the book of Isaiah. I'm still trying to decide where.

@sera_87: I like that! The birth date thing is a good idea too!
I think I'm too much of a chicken to get a tattoo! I can dream tho. Maybe someday.

I'm definitely getting a tattoo for DS but I haven't decided what I want yet. I've thought about his birth date or the coordinates of where he was born.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
Probably not, because if I were to get a tattoo I don't think it would be a word/name.
@sera_87: I like that!

Possibly. My DH has dd's name, birthday, and footprint. He is most likely going to do that if we have more dd's. If we have ds's I think he will forgo the footprint.
cantaloupe / 6923 posts
No. If I was going to get a tattoo it would be my 3 musketeer cats on my back faded around the edges.
nectarine / 2994 posts
Yup I'm planning to get it done when I'm finished breastfeeding as a delayed birthday present. Dh already has LO's name tattooed.
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
No, tattoos are not my thing. I will probably wear a piece of jewelry daily similar to the sentimental value of me wedding ring.
pineapple / 12526 posts
I'm getting a tattoo of a skeleton key with her initials in the head.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Not a name, probably, but DH said he'd be willing to get a tattoo with me for our 5th anniversary, so I will probably incorporate Gwen's initial or bday in there somewhere.
honeydew / 7235 posts
Maybe? But probably not - don't have any tattoos.
My friend got me a bracelet with LOs initials engraved into a plate on it that I love and wear every day.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
I would only do it after I'm done having kids, but we'll see. Sentimental tattoos are the only kind of tattoos I'd ever get.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
I don't have any tattoos, but I would consider one symbolic for my kids like the birthday mentioned above, no names, but I wouldn't know where to put it! The hubby already stated he wants to get one for the kids as well.
