We are re-doing our kitchen and I have to pick out a new faucet. I fell in love with one that I think I'm crazy to love but just fell head over heels for. My husband says we can get it if I really want it...but I have to live with my decision. Our kitchen is not modern and not a professional kitchen. I have a window and will have white tile behind the sink.

It reminds me of the sprayer the lunch ladies had in the cafeteria, I'm not a fan.

Isn't that going to be a beast to clean? I feel like that coil would be a nightmare to clean off, so I wouldn't do it for that reason.

I agree with @kiddosc:
My SIL has a "pull out" (that makes me giggle) style faucet similar to that, but not with the coil, just with a more sleek pipe. I prefer the look of that to the coil thing.

If the reason you love is is the coil, then sure. Otherwise, I have a pull out faucet that does the same thing without the coil

Also check or measure the height of the neck. Some are too tall.

@snowjewelz: so, maybe I just love it because it was the only one I could actually move in the store? The other ones weren't hooked up properly or seemed tight. Is yours tight or is it easy to move around?

@honeybear: This is a good point! I wouldn't give a second though to your faucet choice but omg I have no clue how so much stuff gets on our faucet! I can't even imagine scraping food particles off the coil on that thing.

@mediagirl: When we were faucet shopping I found that we couldn't really pull down on them either. I thought the stores did that on purpose? With that said, this one is not my favorite but I probably wouldn't notice it in someone else's house.

We just had to replace our faucet and I fell in love with the same one!! We ended up getting a different one because I had the same thought as @honeybear! I image that the coil part would get all gross and disgusting. I'm still a little sad about not getting it but I think we made the right choice

My faucet looks like that without the coil part. I like the coil though. We probably would've picked it had it been available as one of our design choices.

I would only get it if you have a very modern/industrial kitchen. Otherwise it won't really "go" with your kitchen, and you'll probably tire of it. When we were house hunting I saw a lot of these paired with oversized stainless farmhouse sinks, grey subway tile backsplashes etc.

We just redid our kitchen and this was the one we wanted. After much consideration I decided to go with a sleeker lower profile one to fit in better with the whole look of the kitchen. This one to ended up being too tall and just looked a bit weird in our small kitchen even though we loved it.

I have a very similar faucet, in addition to two other standard faucets. The coil isn't difficult to clean, and I love it, but don't use it daily.

We have a similar faucet but it's chrome and doesn't have a matching soap dispenser. We've had it since June 2015 and we've had no issues keeping it clean. The cafeteria lady comment made me chuckle but these are actually the new style in nice homes.

Also, this is my kitchen, which is not industrial or super modern but I think the look still works.

in my experience with those, sometimes it is annoying to get the handle of the sprayer back into the holder. I do like the style, but every one I have every used (and we have several in our extended families' kitchens) has been annoying in one way or another.

@Littlebit7: That's a good point. We have a single basin sink and our faucet has some stretch to it and a hook that it easily catches onto. It took awhile to stretch out though. It's definitely a good idea to go to a showroom and test it out first.
