I have an opportunity for an ideal job that would require a 28 hour work week (four days, one work from home day). It's very tempting but the thorn is that if I do end up starting a part-time doctoral program in the fall I wouldn't see my DD one or two nights a week when I have class.
Right now I work from home consulting so my schedule is much more flexible. It would be a big change for our family on so many levels but I'm more concerned about the lack of contact on those potentially long days.
Do any of you not see your kids one day a week on a regular basis? I'm assuming that many healthcare professionals don't and I would love to know if something you and the kiddo just get used to or if it continues to be a thorn.
