@PrincessBaby: what about some really cute tights like small window fishnets, or black tights with a seam up the back? Nordstrom has all kinds of fun ones. Both are sexy options for a little extra warmth, without feeling like you're wearing old lady hose.

@PrincessBaby: I've been wearing Uggs every day for the past week!! It's a little warm for them in the afternoon, but I think it's still ok. You certainly won't be the only one wearing them

I'd skip the hose. For some color and "coverage" Walgreens and Nordstrom both have a hose in a bottle product. You will need to apply it after your shower and a few hours before you put your dress on.

Thanks everyone! I think I will just skip the hose! I am too lazy for spray tan and hate the smell, plus I am still BFing and don't want it on my chest- which would look weird, lol. So I'll just hope that the dress looks nice enough that no one notices my super pale legs!

@PrincessBaby: I have a dress like that and I wore close toed heels and I think it looked good with the dress. You are going to be one hot momma!!

bare legs, I have to wear pantyhose to work every day...and would never torture myself doing it on the weekends or when I'm not required!

@PrincessBaby: Sally Hansen makes a leg lotion theat is not a self tanner but is "makeup" for your legs if your worried about the pale portion.

@PrincessBaby: Yanno, FWIW, I think your lack of tan will be much better received than you might think. I know it's tough to change gears after living somewhere like south FL, but it's much more chic in the north to be pale (to shun the spray tans!). Tan or not, Hose or not, Tights or not, you will look fabulous . . . of that there is no doubt!

bare legs or some sort of black/patterned tights during cold months in MI

@MsLipGloss: Yes! Like I mentioned, I'm in CT and FWIW, I've never had a spray tan and don't know anyone who has. Since it's cold a good portion of the year here pale legs, not tanned, are the rule!
I feel like this thread is going to live forever.

@petunia354: Totally agreed. No one here has tanned legs right now.
That being said, I wouldn't go bare legged in 40 degree weather. Opaque tights are the way to go.

I am in CT as well, but I am an old lady and wear pantyhose. I used to go bare, but after pregnancy, some veins on my legs are just too pronounced to for my taste. Plus, I work in an environment where it's customary to have covered legs...so I think the answer is it is personal preference!

@looch: That's true! In a professional setting I would definitely consider pantyhose and tights.

@looch: @petunia354: That's why I wear them . . . it's a business dress environment, and, for some of the old(er)-school judges, covered legs (and always close-toed shoes) are very well-received!
ETA: I wear tights in the winter months (have them on today!).

I'm going to be in CT this weekend too (for a wedding) and was planning on wearing black tights, not because of my pale legs (I embrace my paleness! Yay pale! lol) but because with my growing baby bump, my dress is going to be just a liiiiiittle shorter than it normally is (crossing my fingers that the dress still fits!), so it's a modesty thing. But otherwise, I'd go bare-legged. And close-toed shoed.

@MsLipGloss: I have mine on today and the high will be in the upper 60's. Way too cold for bare legs in my mind!

Pale is totally in, don't worry about being tan ever since my years of ballet I hate wearing tights or pantyhose, so I think you made the right choice!

Too bad we didn't plan for a CT meet up this weekend, so many Bees are going to be here
