I'm pretty sure Mr. B would DIE if he knew I discussed things like how often we have sex while TTC, etc.!
What would your SO think about what you post?

He would probably laugh and call me a nerd but not mind since it is semi anonymous! (He would not be thrilled about my posts about his family...)

HAHA!! I think DH knows everything I talk about, because I'm always talking about what I read or post. He just laughs it off.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
He'd definitely be wide-eyed, but I've told him about things I've inquired about or read on here and he's always been intrigued at the response and being more informed.
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
He'd probably not know whether to be relieved or hurt that I generally opt to talk to strangers instead of him about things like leaky boobs, cervical mucus and mucus plugs.
ETA: Particularly the boobs, he's interested in my boobs no matter what they're doing.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
haha, yes!!! Hubs is a VERY private person and I'm not at all!!! He'd flip!!!!
admin / wonderful grape / 20724 posts
Haha I hold back b/c my SO reads the site. I'm sure she does too!
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
My hubs loves that I have an outlet! When he annoys me I say things like, "I'm going to start a thread about you right now!" then he laughs at me!

@mrbee: I actually thought about you two when I was writing this and realized you two never can post anything without having your SO see it!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
No, he wouldn't. At least I don't think he would.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Rubies: hahaha! I love that. DH is mostly entertained with my obsession with Hellobee, but he was SO surprised the other day when I mentioned posting about ovulating. I think he thinks we just talk about general TTC, pregnancy, and parenting, not any specifics!

My husband is a pretty private person, so since I started blogging, I've been super conscientious to have him read anything I think might be questionable before I actually post it. He has yet to "censor" anything, so I guess I'm doing any okay job applying the filter myself -- historically, this hasn't been a strength of mine. My parents also both read HB (ugh, I feel like a 15 year old admitting that), so I will not be talking about our sex life in any blog posts. Sorry to disapoint.

I think he would be shocked about the level of detail I know and discuss when it comes to TTC. His knowledge about the subject is so basic that whenever I discuss something with him I have to talk slowly and repeat myself multiple times. That's pretty much how I was before I started reading HB though so it doesn't bother me.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Modern Daisy: That made me laugh. When I first told Mr. Blue I was going to be blogging about pre-TTC and TTC, he said, "What is there to write about? Don't you just stop taking birth control and have a lot of sex?"
grapefruit / 4187 posts
I know, lol!! Explaining to him what a fertility monitor was took about an hour and I still dont think he understands. I guess it is a confusing concept though - the female reproductive system is pretty complex!
honeydew / 7589 posts
Haha, no. Half the time he's looking over my shoulder, or else I tell him later. He's amused.
coconut / 8681 posts
Lol no. He knows what I write on here (which isn’t nearly as TMI as the stuff that I used to discuss on WB while TTC!!) and he’s always just laughed and rolled his eyes. He thinks I’m ridiculous to be discussing all of those things with my “internet friends” but it doesn’t bother him.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
Mr. Jacks reads, but luckily I always consider what I would want my mom or dad to read, so hopefully not too much TMI from me!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: I try to consider that in my blog posts, but for some reason the boards seem like fair game. I need @Mrs. Tricycle: to teach me how she implemented self-filtering!
@Running Elley: I think when we're no longer TTC, I'll have much less TMI on here. Almost everything about TTC I wouldn't want "real" people to know!
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Mrs. Blue: My self filter is that there are pictures of my family all over the blog, so if my mom came here and figured out that I'm Mrs. Jacks and read all my posts, what would she find? Or even worse, my dad?!
I was a hostess over at WB and had lots of requests from people to delete personal info that they shared, so I certainly learned from that experience too!
coconut / 8681 posts
@Mrs. Blue: Oh yeah! There are definitely TMI pregnancy things but nothing can really top cervical mucus consistency and sex schedules
bananas / 9227 posts
Same as @Rubies. DH's just glad I can unleash somewhere. I also joke about starting a thread when he does something that annoys me.
squash / 13199 posts
We are very private too but I dont think my husband would care because we dont know any of your guys in real life and I dont post any pictures that can link back to us.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
Hubs is a super private person. But I'm not, and he's used to that by now. He knows I talk to my real friends about sex and leaky boobs and all the good stuff. So he wouldn't be upset that I talked about it on here.
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
Not really. He'd probably wonder why I share a lot, but he knows this is my go-to resource
pear / 1764 posts
I don't think so, he knows all about WB & HB, although probably doesn't really know what we talk about
papaya / 10560 posts
He thinks I am silly. Sometimes when I read something on here or learn something new, I just want to be like, "Oh yeah, a friend told me that..." instead of "I read it on this website where I read posts a lot and post about being pregnant and babies!" Ha!
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
@lydg: I TOTALLY do this. If I'm talking to someone other than DH or my mom, I say, "Oh, I think a friend mentioned . . ."
coconut / 8681 posts
@lydg: I do that sometimes but somehow DH always always always sees through it LOL. He gives me a look like… “Really???” and then asks “Are you suuuuure that you didn’t ‘hear’ that from one of your online friends?” He really thinks it’s hilarious.
papaya / 10560 posts
HA! That sounds like something my husband would say too. Such a skeptic!
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: I learned from that also!
I think DH would be okay with what he would read here, I've been trying to watch my filter.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
I don't know. I do put some personal stuff on here but he knows that it's mostly anonymous so maybe he won't be too mad.
