This list of treats was posted on the door of my daughter's daycare room this week. It's what they are having for their halloween party. A bunch of 1 year old's.
I'm really unhappy about this. I think I need to talk to the teacher and ask why they need so many treats. I would understand one treat and then regular lunch but, I really don't understand the need for ALL of those treats. They're ONE year olds!!
We're going to keep her home that day which really bugs me. I would love to send her on Halloween to show off her outfit but I refuse to say "she can only have the cheese stick" when I know she will see everyone else with treats and not understand why she can't have them.
I'm so frustrated. If you remember from a previous post, we are moving daycare centers when she turns 2 but this is just one more thing that gets me. Because I don't want my child subjected to more sugar than she has ever had in her early life, I have to keep her home on a special day. Sucks.
If you saw this, would you ask the director or the teacher what the heck are they thinking about offering all of these things to a class of 1 year olds?
