I'm 24 weeks and this past week it has gotten REAL in bed. In other words, no matter how I sleep, I either have screaming back pain, screaming hip pain, or can get really comfy sleep great then get up and am in horrifying pain. I have sciatica on my left side, which is extra fun!
So, I've tried:
- Only a body pillow, between my legs and hugging it, on my left and right side (switching throughout the night)
- A body pillow in the same manner as above with two pillows shoved against my back for added support
- Same as #2 but with a pillow added under my hip
- Two pillows stacked behind me so I'm almost upright, two pillows under my knees with my legs bent over them, and a pillow on either side of me (super comfortable for sleeping, not so much if I actually want to get out of bed and walk around because it seems it really aggravated my sciatica)
Sooooo, what crazy (or perhaps not so crazy) positions/sleeping arrangements worked best for you while trying to sleep while pregnant? Or did basically nothing work?
