It's hard to get Olive to sit still to read books for an extended period of time unless they have lift the flaps or textures. We have a bunch (Tails, Where's baby's belly button, That's Not My Monster, Dear Zoo, etc) but I'd like to get a couple more.

Have you tried any of the Maisy books by Lucy Cousins? They might be a little old for Olive but they're so bright and beautiful and have lots of fun flaps to lift, pull and peek underneath. Also, I know it's old school, but we recently got this huge version of Pat the Bunny that has some extra pages (a button box to shake and a doll's ball to squeak) and it has been tons of fun. My LO also loves all of the DK reader animal books--she could pet the bunny for hours on end! We also just got A new fun one to try is Press Here by Herve Tullet. Although it doesn't have textures or flaps, it provides a fun way to interact that's kind of like an ipad but without any technology. We also just bought the Dr. Seuss Sleep Softly board book and though the story is just OK, the textures are really cool. I work at a picture book museum so I could go on and on...:)!

(I should add, not all of the Maisy books have flaps, but a lot of them do. My favorite is Maisy's Bathtime, but that is a no-flap one).

Ohmygoodness YES. Feely Bugs. G actually cried in the store when we took it away and went to buy it! He has been obsessed for two weeks now.
It has really great large surface textures that do really 'feel'
The same author also has a whole line of flap books too about the bugs - bedtime bugs, jingle bugs, beach bugs

I really love the Noodle books! They are touch and feel with different textures like a sticky page for toothpaste or a peach. Each one has a mirror page at the end which my LO always loved!

We have Baby Loves Peekaboo and LO LOVES it! She will sit there and flip it open over and over feeling the textures and giggling.
