MY MOM: My mom is not a fan of my kids lying down all the time (on a couch, on the floor, my kids lie down everywhere). I have been trying to teach my kids to sit up whenever possible, but it is definitely an uphill battle!
MY MIL: Pretty much nothing, my kids can do no wrong!

Mil can't stand when ds1 doesn't finish his dinner plate. (We don't believe in the 'clean off your plate' mentality so long as he is trying to eat dinner).
My mom doesn't have any pet peeves about either child.

I don't think any of them have pet peeves about my LO, he's just not around them much (1-3x/year).

She's too little for any true pet peeves (7mo), but FIL definitely has pretty much no patience for her fussing when he's holding her. I'm hoping it's just insecurity and him feeling embarrassed or like he's doing something wrong. But he's so far from us in terms of parenting styles that I'm anticipating a LOT of future issues.

My dad gets irritated by the whining at times, but for the most part they think he is a little angel.
My MIL gets so upset that my LO is standoffish to her, but she only sees him every 3 months so she needs to understand he needs some time.

My family definitely thinks that DD can do no wrong! She is 100% perfect in their eyes!

My parents complain that she's just turned 2.5 and is not potty trained (apparently myself and my sister were trained by 2), but that's probably a beef with me more than her....
Oh, and she's "bilingual", and my parents are unilingual, so they don't love it when she uses words they don't understand.

My mum says that DD is a handful and too energetic for her to cope with alone. She claims I was amenable and calm, even as a toddler, so she doesn't have any experience of dealing with this kind of behaviour and thus cant be left alone with her. I think its an excuse!
My inlaws dont have anything critical to say at all.

No one openly says anything, and we haven't been back living near them for long.
But, I think FIL gets frustrated with DD's high energy.
I think my mum and step mother would criticize how much baby wearing I do (because it stops them taking the baby, so they aren't fans) but that isn't a criticism of the children.

My mom says my son is loud, and he is! In my dad's eyes, my son can do no wrong, even when he goes up to his bedroom and shines a flashlight in his eyes to wake him up.

It apparently bugged my mom that I was still nursing DD after a year, but that was not so much DD's issue as mine. I don't think any of her grandparents have any pet peeves about her yet! She's the first (only) grandchild on both sides and isn't yet two!

@Cherrybee: my parents are the same way
My parents: J is too energetic for them, he "wears them out", therefore they won't watch him.
MIL: J isn't affectionate enough for her. He's just not that kind of cuddly kid, never has been. I think it's better now that she can have a conversation with him but when he was a baby it really bothered her!

DD is def not perfect but my mom is pretty lax... She is def stricter with DD but I don't think anything is a pet peeve to her. My dad just does not know anything, lol.
MIL and FIL don't see her as often so they are too busy loving on her to have pet peeves. Though MIL always think DD is not wearing enough clothes!
