What was your experience?
Just had an u/s at 20 weeks exactly, and where I live they won't tell you anything, you have to wait to hear it from your doctor. They also don't give you a picture 
but anyhow, I am fairly sure I saw the 3 lines everyone talks about!!!!

From what I've heard boys are obvious! I have 2 girls. I'd Google and compare to what you saw!

I have a boy and it was so obvious the tech didn't say anything.. They just showed us the screen!

@sslm: oh no! When will you hear from your doctor? At both of my anatomy scans, the tech told us everything, including sex.

Both of my boys were quite obvious to me so if you didn't see boy parts, I'd think it's a girl!

@BandDmommy: I don't recall what it looked like last time, since they were telling me right at the ultrasound I didn't pay too much attention. We're in a different province now and the protocol is different!
@lamariniere: I just called my midwife and even though my appointment isn't until Friday she said she'd put it in an envelope for me! I will pick it up today!!!

@travellingbee: She didn't even let us know what she was looking at, but I'm pretty sure I saw above photo!! I was trying so hard to pay attention but it's really hard to tell what you're looking at without them telling you

@sslm: Exciting! It's definitely looking like girl, if your U/S looks like the one in the pic. I actually didn't see my daughter's girl parts on U/S, but my son's boy parts were VERY obvious.

Well that's annoying!!! That exactly what my girl looked like, but during my US with my boy I thought I saw the same thing until they zoomed in more so it's really hard to say

For me (and my friends), if there was 3 lines, it was definitely a girl. With DS, it was obvious he had an extra appendage there and not 3 lines!

That's so strange! Is it 1954 where you live?? 
3 lines is what we saw for our girl. I was SO confused over why 3 lines but our ultrasound tech actually explained it to us. So, yes, probably a girl!! Yay!

Haha congrats!!! My DS, I never could tell what I was seeing unless they pointed it out! I'm pretty clueless during ultrasounds
