I go back to work Monday and just realized today that I probably should've been pumping a little each day in anticipation of this. Welllll, in my defense, we just got back from a massive road trip, had to take LO to 2 appts, and then I got sick... Despite being sick, I've been taking care of all the post-vacation chores (unpacking, doing laundry, going to the grocery to restock the fridge, etc.).

So today I sit down and pump an ounce and then LO wakes up a few minutes later and eats from the other side. He ate well, finished the feeding awake. We played for a little bit and then I put him down for a nap. I swapped out laundry, loaded the dishwasher, and cut up a melon and then he woke up (so maybe 20 minutes?) and ate again and again and again, sleeping for 20-30 minutes at a time. He's triggering milk ejections, I can hear swallowing and he's soaking diapers, so I'm confident he's transferring.

It's just stressing me out because I have so much to do and he just wants to nurse and nurse and nurse. I think my supply may have dipped a little from being sick so I started a batch of lactation cookies during one of his 30 minute naps so I can boost my supply enough to get through this and maybe even pump a bit for Monday.

And DH is having friends over tomorrow, so I'm trying to clean the house too.

Ugh. I just want to sleep
