I had a mc in August at about 5 weeks. My cycles have been longer since then. 35 days. I did get a Positive Wondfo OPK Oct 6. And then ecstatically got a BFP Friday October 16 on the Wondfo pg sticks and a digital. Been having dull cramps, but no noticeable IB. Had my first beta draw Friday and it was 35. I am going back tomorrow for my 2nd draw and am soooo nervous. My cramps aren't as noticeable today. I hope my numbers are going up. Anyone have a similar experience?

Congrats! If I am doing my math right, you would only have been, at most, 10dpo. That is very early so your hcg sounds fine for that date. fingers crossed for you that it doubles and beyond.

For what it's worth, cramps were actually how I knew I was pregnant last time! (I stopped getting pms cramps after my first m/c.) Doubling time definitely matters more than actual number, and 35 is perfectly reasonable early on. It has to start from nothing, so it takes time to get high! Congrats, and sending lots of positive sticky thoughts your way! You might try the pregnant after a loss thread as well, if you want some empathy from ladies who know how you feel. It really helped me get through the worry.

My first pregnancy I got pregnant on an abnormally long cycle for me....35 vs 27 days, and she's a healthy three year old now!

@mamabolt: how did they date your pregnancy? I believe I conceived on Oct 6 or 7, but my first day of Lmp was Sept 15. Today I am not feeling any cramps. When I had the MC I cramped the whole time and then severe cramping until the mc was complete. A new symptom I noticed is my chest feels hot and itchy ( almost like hives). Anyone experience this?

@DeeBeeEl: I told my midwife I was using OPK so she used that date to start and we confirmed via US which matched my guess within a day.

@DeeBeeEl: I ovulated on CD42 with my DD who is almost 3. My OB still had me come in at what she said was 8 weeks due to LMP but I knew was 5 weeks. They tried to say it looked like miscarriage but I was sure of my dates and my blood tests confirmed numbers rising. The next dating U/S gave the exact same due date as my O date. My next pregnancy, I just lied about my LMP to not go through the same thing.

@birdofafeather: we know our bodies so well!! It annoys me when the dr doesn't trust our judgement and intuition. I guess they're just doing their job and CYA. Congrats on your two bundles of joy!

@wrkbrk: I will be either 12 or 13 DPO tomorrow. I am so nervous. With my 1st pregnancy I didn't even make it to my first blood draw bc I miscarried the day of my appointment 
so this is new to me. I will feel much better tomorrow after my results are in. They are monitoring me early (I'll be 4 weeks Tuesday) bc of my history. I hope they are much higher!! I am going in at 7:30am so I can get same day results.

I had long cycles, anywhere from 35-50 days, & currently have a 3 month old napping on me! The month I conceived I confirmed ovulation via temping on CD 25.

Hey everyone just wanted to update. Had my 2nd beta draw and my numbers are up from 35 on Friday to 187 today! I am very happy with that! Have to go back Thursday to make sure the numbers keep going up!

I have also had long and variable cycles and I have a daughter and another baby on the way! If you know when you ovulated you can always tell them your period started 2 weeks before then, that way they get the dates right. Good luck!

Congrats!! Sounds like things are moving in the right direction. FWIW, I had a lot of cramping with my 2nd baby and now have a healthy 18 month old.
