Following for tips, eek!

I'm right behind you! I'll be 36w this weekend. My lo is 34 months.

Lots of screen time and sit down activities, like coloring, painting and play-doh. Smaller outdoor activities like picnics for lunch, playing in her clubhouse, throwing the ball & her water table.

I can't do things like chase her, so solo outings are mostly off the table. I can handle a quick run to target or the market, but couldn't do a grocery store. Sometimes we go to the malls indoor play area. It's enclosed, I get to sit, and she can burn off a ton of steam.

Will he play in the tub? I let C play in the bathtub while I sit next to him in the bathroom, and he'll keep going as long as I rotate toys. Foam letters, bath crayons, stacking cups, squirt toys, boats, whatever. If I'm sick and need to buy myself an hour of sitting, it's bathtub time!

I am right there with you. I'm 780 weeks pregnant (Ok, more like almost 33) and my daughter turned 15 months yesterday. I want to die. Between the exhaustion, pains, the miserable heat and a kid who doesn't stop all day long...I just want to crawl into my closet and hide, lol. I've allowed screen time for my own sanity and because I was on partial bed rest with no help until my husband came home. We read the same books 700 times a day and I've purchased a few new toys & puzzles to keep her entertained. She's also obsessed with magnets & will stand at the dishwasher for almost an hour playing with her wooden Melissa & Doug magnets. Once a week I do try to get out of the house for a "big" activity. Whether it's story time, the zoo, arboretum, museums and such. I also found that she loves it if I color with her or do stickers with her. Today we went to the mall and I just let her walk to burn some energy and that way I didn't sweat to death. It sucks I feel so guilty about being so uncomfortable & pregnant & not being able to really get down and play with her. When my husband shows up, she is thrilled & gets her shoes ready so he can take her in the backyard or go to the park--I can't do the park cause it's usually wayyyyy too hot or cause she'll climb up high & if she were in danger I probably couldn't climb up fast enough to get her, lol.

@knittylady: my son was 15 months old when my DD was born, so a very similar situation you're in. I will freely admit, DS got lots of screen time. I was just in too much pain(bad sciatic pain due to her being breech) and too tired.

I plan to ask my mom and MIL to come help for a day during the week or weekends when my Husband is on call. And otherwise lots of screen time and getting out of the house - if we are home he wants more hands on attention and if we are out and about he is more independent. I will be in the 3rd tri as T turns 28 months (next month).
