@septca: I know your point that it really can cause more concern that somethings not there when it should be.
I was a lucky one I think because I went in at 5w4d (after a confirmed rising beta but early due to holidays). I was measuring ahead (I think about 5w6d) and we were able to see/hear a heartbeat via vaginal u/s

I had a dating u/s trans vaginally at six weeks. We saw the lil dot of baby ds and flickering (heartbeat). Didn't hear heartbeat 'til 10 weeks?

I believe mine was at 6w1d and we saw the flickering heart. Actually my husband and the tech did. I couldn't see it. And I have good vision! Weird. But we heard it the next week at our next ultrasound.

@CatchAFallingStar: I went in at 6w 4days and saw a sack, yolk and a little of baby who was up against wall
..but no heart beat I was soooo concerend, but RE and @Mrsjumprope assured me thay was ok
1 week later at 7w 4days I saw baby and a beautiful strong heartbeat :))))
It is crazy what a few days did!
