@Bao: I normally love markers as well, but I'm afraid they'll bleed through the page. Maybe my technique is wrong?

@NCSUchick27: I don't really like the container. At first I thought it was fancy and I like how the case stands up, but I find it a hassle putting them in their slots. I'd prefer just having those old school metal tins. But I really like how soft and smooth they are.

@SugarplumsMom: mine don't bleed through on my Enchanted Forest book...I hear they do on Secret Garden though

@Bao: I read the same, but for some reason mine does. It hasn't actually full out bleed through though - but you can definitely see a hint of color on the back page.

Here are a couple of pages out of the Enchanted Forest book that I have finished. The one with the chest was colored with regular Crayola colored pencils, and the one with the vine and flowers was mostly colored with my new Staedtler pencils. I think the Staedtler pencils are a lot more vivid without having pressed down super hard.
I am not much of an artist, but I have fun.
ETA: I just noticed the I missed a leaf and a stick on the chest picture.

I ended up with colored pencils. I chose these that I found on amazon. Seems like the reviews say that they are softer and more vibrant than Crayola. But they are not as soft as prismacolor, but not as expensive either. Here they are: http://www.amazon.com/Ohuhu-48-color-Colored-Coloring-Assorted/dp/B00U78NQHO

@NCSUchick27: I had to take a second look at your flower picture it looks similar to the one I just colored! Pretty! @abbydabbydoodlebug: did you just order them or have you actually tried them?

@Bao: I just ordered them, so I haven't tried them yet. They have good reviews on amazon and I couldn't bite the bullet on prismacolor. I'll let you know next week how they are! I actually got the 72 count so I'll have tons of colors. I'm really excited!

Anyone use the Colorfy app? My friend just posted one of her designs on IG and I think it will hold me over until my book arrives tomorrow.

I love colouring!! I did it a lot during my pregnancy to help ease my anxieties (and keep me off of google!) This is the one I have, but I don't love it. I have been eyeing the Enchanted Forest one for months now, but haven't pulled the trigger. I think this thread has inspired me to go get it!

@gentlelunette: get it! It's so much more detailed but that's what I like about it.
