My dog was never aggressive towards us but he was a bit of an asshole while I was pregnant. If we left the house and didn't lock him in his room he would tear the place up. But now that the baby is here he shows no aggression towards her. He's pretty indifferent.

That's rough, I'm so sorry! We have two dogs and our French bulldog, who was a rescue, already has some behavioral issues. Since I've been pregnant, though, he's started to do some things he's never done before, like being food possessive and guarding toys from our other dog. I'm pretty worried what will happen once LO arrives!

My advice would be to find a reputable dog behaviorist and book a session or two in your own home. Know that a behaviorist is different than just a trainer, and are usually really helpful in this type of situation. We had one come over several times when we first got our troublemaker and she really helped us!

We have a rescue who is our baby. He was a lunatic when we got him and took him to a wonderful dog behaviorist who I call the doggie psychiatrist. One session and she saved our lives I was so worried we would have to give him back to the shelter. We took him back when we found out we were pregnant and she gave us some great tools to help for when baby is here. He had a few episodes of aggression when he was in our bed like he owned the space so he is no longer allowed and no issues since. I would see if a shelter in your area has a behaviorist that's how I found ours.
