It's me again, with another question about SCH. I saw my RE today, and it really opened more questions than it resolved. He started by saying he was very concerned about the SCH causing miscarriage (according to the ultrasound report, it was moderately sized). Then he said to take it easy. When I asked what that means his response was "I don't know, if you want, I can write you a note to get out of work." So I asked if full bed rest would be helpful, and his response was "I don't want you lying down too much, and your baby is two millimeters, seriously I don't know what you can actually do. Just stay hydrated." Then he pulled up the images and said "actually, it looks small, who knows, it looks really small here. So maybe it's pretty small. Before 24 weeks, we know nothing and can do nothing, so who knows, really it's whatever."
I think he's just being honest that there's no conclusive scientific evidence about how to heal an SCH, so he has no basis to make a recommendation, but I'm still at a bit of a loss for what to do. I don't have a follow up for two weeks (and the fetal heart rate also wasn't looking good today, so that's another problem). I'm supposed to travel for work in a week and a half. It's a trip I've made dozens of times and don't find tiring, but it does involving flying. I'm at a bit of a loss for whether I should tell work and not go or just keep trying to take it easy. Just curious what other's experiences have been...
