I gained 15 lbs between Week 7 and 13. I'm at week 15 now and been putting on about 1.5 a week. So yeah... 18 lbs gained in about 8 weeks.
Don't even ask me how. With how sick I've been/still am. I do eat a lot of crackers and peanut butter but it isn't excessive.
I'm not carrying multiples.
I was not underweight to begin with (BMI 22). I do have a very slow metabolism by nature (always had to work very hard to keep weight off)... plus haven't been able to exercise much or at all without becoming lightheaded and/or throwing up a lot.
It just seems like it isn't slowing down at all and if this keeps up I'll have gained 60 lbs by the time I give birth.
Obviously I don't want to diet or anything due to baby's health but gaining so much isn't healthy either. I watched my calories and intake all last week and still put on 1.5 lbs. I don't think it's bloating either. It's consistent.
Please tell me this has happened to someone else and that it will slow down?? It's crazy. I have this huge belly and a thick layer of fat around me and I'm barely in to my second tri. A lot of women are still wearing their pre-pregnancy pants with a belly band -- I can't even get my thighs in to mine. It's so depressing.
