After my post about what preeclampsia headaches feel like, I ended up taking my blood pressure, and it was 144/85. Per my doctor's instructions, I went to the hospital to get checked out for pre-e since my doctor's office is closed until after the holiday. Naturally, by the time they took my BP (I had been laying down for about 30 minutes by then), it was down to a completely regular reading. I also had no protein in my urine. I'm at 26 weeks, and the resident in the hospital told me that pre-e generally doesn't develop until at least 28 weeks. I figured my earlier reading was a fluke, and I was so relieved. But today, I took it again and it was 147/87 on both my BP cuff at home and the machine at CVS.
Did anyone have high blood pressure during pregnancy without it developing into pre-e? If so, how did your doctor treat you? If you did eventually get pre-e, did you initially have high blood pressure without protein in the urine? Just looking to hear anyone's stories about high BP during pregnancy whether you developed pre-e or not. Thanks!
