Never had a single one. I thought for sure he was never going to come out, but I started labor on his due date!

I never had any!

ETA: and I had to be induced after 41 weeks.

I didn't have any noticeable ones. I had to go to L&D at 36w for swelling and they hooked me up to the monitors and said I was having contractions, but I had no idea. And I went into labor at 38w!

Based on my NST, I was having them but I never felt one. I'm interested to know how it will be with this pregnancy.

Never had any contractions except for the hour long period between when my pitocin contractions started and the epidural kicked in

I didn't really have them (maybe once or twice) with my son, but had him at 35.4 weeks after my water broke. I did have them with my daughter, and had her at 36.3 after my water broke.

I never had any. Water broke at 39 weeks. It was probable 3 hours later before I had a contraction.

I never felt any and labor with my first started on its own at 30w4d. She was born the next morning.

I never had any! I was induced at 38 weeks due to GD so I don't know how my body would have fared if I had gone to term.

@lawbee11: @MUI831: @birdofafeather: these stories make me feel less crazy! I haven't been sure whether I was having them or not- I never really notice them, but sometimes notice my whole belly is super hard, so I thought maybe that was a BH? I'm 39+1 today, so I'm glad to hear stories of people not being aware of them and going into labor eventually!

I didn't have any. My water broke on her due date and she was born the same day.

@PrincessBaby: My OB swept my membranes at my 38w appt and I went into labor that evening. I was already dilated 2cm and had lost my mucus plug so it could've just been a coincidence, but can't hurt to try!

Never had any with DD1, and went into labor on my due date. Labored mildly at home from about 8am-6pm and then hospital... had her at 7:28am the next day. None yet with DD2 either but I'm only 17 weeks.

I never had one. My water broke at 38 weeks and it was a bit over an hour before I felt a contraction. 12 hours later DS was born.

You might also be having them and not really feeling them. Some people don't. Perhaps because you are in such great shape??! I had a ton early with this second pregnancy but barely any with my son. Good luck! I hope she comes a bit early so you get more time with your husband!

@MUI831: Fair point. I am 39+2 today, and I keep telling people I fully expect to go late- I think everyone thinks I'm crazy, but I'd rather be prepared for that than feel like every day from now until when I give birth lasts a year because I expected to go into labor early or on time! Although now I wonder if I'm ready to go into labor mentally--- like have a psyched myself up so much to go late that I won't feel ready if I go into labor tonight? Hah!

@MrsBucky: Ha! I always say plan for the worst and expect the best. This time around, I'm also planning on going late again so that I won't be so disappointed. But I'm sure you'll be ready when the time comes!!!!
