    @MissLace: YAY congrats!

    We are keeping our nanny and just increasing pay and will see how it goes. She is here 3-4 days a week from 12-5. DH is home with her the rest. He's a cook so he works nights.

    @Mrs. Microscope: BREWERY? As in BEER??? That is my dream job. I am a beer freak.

    No idea when I'll know about my daycare. I don't want to push to much be because I don't want her to retire before my materit leave.

    @MissLace: Congrats on the girl!!!

    @raspberries: My mom keeps my LO while I work and has since I went back at 8 weeks pp. She'll have #2 as well IF I go back to work. I really, really want to SAH, but DH will have to change careers (which he's considering anyway). We're both teachers, so there's no way I'd be able to stay home now. I'm hoping he'll be able to find something after school ends this year because this uncertainty is killing me!

    @MrsADS: It could happen anytime! I'm sure you'll feel something soon

    @MissLace: Congrats on the girl!

    @raspberries: yep, we had relatives rotate and come stay with us for that entire 6 months. My SIL who is a senior in hs lived with us full-time for three of those months during her summer break. I think we had maybe 2 or 3 full weekends to ourselves during the first six months of our son's life?? It was pretty rough but now, after the fact, I am thankful that we had the help. Definitely get on some waiting lists as soon as possible even if you're not sure you'll use them!

    @kjpugs: yup. I am a brewery microbiology consultant I will have my own lab starting in July, right before baby arrives. Right now I am just writing and doing stuff by phone. It is pretty fun, and Colorado is the ideal place!

    @Mrs. Microscope: That is seriously the coolest job!! Do you get free samples? To drink that is, not test lol.

    @getjazzy: I do! The industry is so community driven, and we really take care of each other. But I haven't had any alcohol since November, and I actually don't miss it. That would be so hard, if beer sounded good right now! Beer and hard alcohol sounds gross, but I do miss wine. I got a couple of bottles of dealcoholized wine to try this summer!

    @MissLace: Congrats! Yay for all these little girls!

    @Mrs. Microscope: Colorado is definitely the right place for that! We lived in Denver the first five years we were married, and DH loved the microbrewery selection there. I miss CO so much!

    @raspberries: We're on the waiting list for a couple of daycares in our neighborhood, and I really hope we get into one. We won't know until at least late summer though. I've got a couple of back-up options near my work that we can go with, but the commuting situation won't be as ideal.

    @Mrs. Microscope: Has the smell bothered you gs all being pregnant? I know that all steps of beer production don't smell the greatest haha.

    Heading to the doctor at 1pm for a regular check up and she should have the report from my 20 week ultrasound there with ... GENDER! We are going to get her to write it down and either look at it together or get something done with it (cake or something?). We decided that we are not going to be team green this time though and I'm excited to know!

    Cross your fingers that they didn't somehow leave it out of the report because the tech wouldn't tell me at the time of the ultrasound!

    @getjazzy: good luck! I like when ppl find out the gender

    Well it's not the most exciting nursery purchase but I just ordered our changing tray. Lol. I got one that fits over top of the crib to save space.

    @Mrs. Microscope: what a cool job!! That would kill me as I have been craving beer - I even got some nonalcoholic beer at Trader Joe's a couple of weeks ago. I think it's called Clausthaler? It wasn't bad!

    @getjazzy: good luck!! I am living vicariously through all of you since I have two more weeks until I find out!!!

    @getjazzy: Thank goodness I am not doing production right now, because the sulfur egg smell of early fermentation would totally trigger some vomiting!

    @LauraBear: I haven't heard of that, but I will check it out next time I am at TJs! A lot of the no alcohol beers have an off flavor, so it is good to hear about one worth trying! I have started craving wine, so I picked up some Ariel Chardonnay and Cab Sauv, as well as Sutter Home Fre Chardonnay and Merlot. I like the Ariel Chard a lot, but the Fre Merlot was a bit sweet for my taste!

    @Torchwood: We are so spoiled living here. I love it!

    @Mrs. Microscope: oh thanks for the wine tips! I may try the chardonnay one. Well, DH did not like the taste of the NA Beer. He said it tasted like wheat juice Personally, I think he should have been more positive for me! Haha. I like beer but I'm not that picky so take my suggestion with a grain of salt!

    OMG THEY DIDN'T INCLUDE GENDER IN MY REPORT!!!

    Booked a private scan for tomorrow which sucks because I have to pay but I don't want to wait any longer. Just my luck! I even had a feeling this would happen lol. So much for trying to not be team green.

    @getjazzy: Ugh that's so frustrating!!! I would be so annoyed! At least you'll find out tomorrow! I can't wait to hear

    So does that mean we don't have any team green ladies in our group?!

    @Mrs. Microscope: I am so so jealous. I miss beer SO much. Do you work for a large company or a small brewery (I guess whatever you feel comfortable sharing?) My dream would be to work at Dogfish Head. We got a beer of the month club as a Christmas gift before we told family we were expecting! So sad! I take "pinkie" tastes of the new ones - just dip my pinkie haha. I miss it!!!!!

    Baby Izzie looked great today! Awesome birthday for me. And the doctor who delivered Effie was my doctor for this appointment. He was so excited for us (haven't seen him since she was born!) it was a great day.

    @kjpugs: happy birthday! I have my own consulting company, and I have a partnership with a new brewery opening in July to use their lab, which I am designing and stocking for them. I have several clients around town (all microbreweries) but will be doing all my lab work from the one location. I have been working with these brewers for 2 years now and they are opening their own place after a split last year from another local brewery. I have not worked for one of the big players in town, but I know people who do, and so many have hosted me for a day in their labs to see their fun toys, talk shop, and drink beer!

    @getjazzy: that's crazy!!! At least you get to find out tomorrow.

    You ladies are all making me want a beer! I always have a couple of sips of DH's but omg I just want a whole one to myself. I've had a 1/4-1/2 glass of wine several times already but its the beer I am really missing.

    @lilteacherbee: @Mrs. Microscope: @Mrs. J: @buttermilk: I know!! I'm so mad! I called the clinic back and they said they have no photos of the gender. Which is code for, we didn't even look in the first place or we deleted your images after sending the report through. Ugh! I even asked the lady to include it. I usually could get someone at work to do a quick scan no problem but the ladies I know well weren't in today and I don't want to wait until Monday. They said they didn't include it because it's not something they look at during the anatomy scan? I'm shocked. I asked them why not? You'd think they would want to know if something was a miss with the genitals? If a baby had both or something? Seems weird to me that they don't even look.

    @Mrs. Microscope: my husband is so jealous right now. We just homebrew a lot! I built him a keezer for his bday last year (ok I helped his dad lol, but it was my idea/design!)

    I miss wine the most. Like more than a half glass and some sushi. Even beer.

    @getjazzy: oh no! How strange and frustrating. I hope you get to find out tomorrow instead!

    Ugh, I somehow forgot how hard being pregnant is on my hips and pelvis. I had to speed walk about a mile in heels today and I can barely walk now my hips are so stiff and painful. Hubs can expect to start the same nightly massage routine we did with my first pregnancy tonight! I think I'll also be ditching the heels from here on out.

    @Mrs.Scientist: Ugh I feel your pain! I'm okay on my feet for 8 hrs at work, but when I work late or do something after work my lower back is killllliiiiing me after a couple hours.

    DH is very involved in our city politically so we attend a lot of events like today, but I just took a cab home bc I've been up since 4 and realized I've only sat for an hour and a half today!! I'm a girl who really values her downtime, esp now that I'm pregnant. Luckily he is very understanding

    Oh also! So excited that baby movement is really ramping up for me. Before I just felt sporadic kicks, but now if I have my hands on my belly I can sometimes even feel the movement! She is definitely dragging something across my belly. It is still very startling! And I'll lay down and feel her all over the place like she must be wiggling about, not just in one spot like before. So exciting! Anyone else experiencing this?

    @buttermilk: yay! So glad you are feeling movement now! I've been feeling it for several weeks but it's really ramped up in the last week or so. DH even felt her for the first time from the outside yesterday.

    @getjazzy: congratulations on the girl!
