One of my co-workers is a nosy, annoying woman. Her office is in between mine and the bathroom (you know, the place I visit 4-5 times a day...) I have started walking around a set of cubes and through another section of the office to avoid having to walk by her office and have her stare at me or say more obnoxious things about my ever-changing body.
Are there people you avoid/avoided during your pregnancy? Why?

Be lucky it's only 4-5 times a day, I swear I'm in there at least 8-9 right now! haha but yes I know exactly what you are talking about. I have caught myself avoiding a friend lately because the first question out of her mouth is "so have you gained more weight?" I find this incredibly rude, not "how are you feeling" or "are you getting excited." So I just "miss" her phone calls more and more these days.

@jessiejo17: Ah...I have a friend I'm avoiding, as well. She's a belly rubber. We're not THAT good of friends. You really have to be an incredible person in my eyes to get unlimited access to rub the belly.

I used to pee literally every 45 mins when I was pregnant. I drank TONS of water. ~160 ounces/day!
I pretty much avoided everyone while I was pregnant. Didn't want them to see me in all of my fat glory.

Yes! There's a woman at my work who just loves to point out every time that she bumps into me that she thought I was just getting fat at the beginning of my pregnancy, until I announced that I was actually pregnant. Ummm, hello? Has anyone ever told you to keep your thoughts to yourself sometimes?
I think it just makes her feel better to think about me getting fat, b/c IRL she is the fat one, and I was always quite slender before getting pregnant!

I didn't avoid people then. But I do now. I have an old high school friend who is very judgy when it comes to looks, especially weight. I've gained a lot since having LO. She keeps saying she wants to get together and meet LO.... but I keep making excuses.

I'm getting to the point where I just want to avoid everyone! I particularly try to avoid people who I haven't seen in awhile, just because I'm so tired of hearing the normal "Oh you're so huge", and "you look like you're going to burst" comments. Not to mention I'm over answering the normal questions. It just gets old after 37 weeks.
